SOLUTION: The screw-type filtration dehydrator is constructed in the following manner. A screw conveyor 5 having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of a plurality of movable plates 1KA is contactlessly fitted into the center hole 4 of a cylindrical filter 1 equipped with a front end opening as a sludge feeding port 3. A pressure regulator valve 8 that faces an annular valve seat 6 fixed onto the terminal end opening of the cylindrical filter 1, is adjustably mounted on a screw shaft 5S. A gap between the opposing faces of the pressure regulator valve 8 and the annular valve seat 6 is provided as a discharge port 12 for discharging dehydrated cake. A planetary gear 9 engaging with an inner gear 7 formed on the outer end face of the annular valve seat 6 is mounted on the inner end face of the pressure regulator valve 8. An eccentric shaft 11 that rotates while revolving inside the cylindrical filter 1 synchronously with the rotation of the screw shaft 5S is provided, which shaft 11 is inserted through a plurality of notches 5H formed on the flight of the screw conveyer 5 disposed in the cylindrical filter 1, with its one end attached to a bearing 10 through the inner end face of the planetary gear 9. The inner circumferences of the movable plates 1KA disposed in the rear half RF of the cylindrical filter 1 and the outer circumference of the screw conveyor 5 are contactlessly disposed. A second driving mechanism that eccentrically rotates the movable plates 1KA by an eccentric shaft 11, and the first driving mechanism are each separately provided.
