摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common buffer type ATM switch in which a cell discard rate or a cell delay time can be easily guaranteed and a call loss rate can be suppressed smaller than an output buffer type switch by preventing another output port from being affected by a congestion that occurs in a certain output port. SOLUTION: An intra-buffer cell count section 907 counts the number of ATM cells inside a buffer at present corresponding to internal logic queues. A threshold holding section 908 holds a threshold for the number of ATM cells inside the buffer corresponding to the internal logic queues. A dynamic threshold setting section 910 dynamically sets the threshold held by the threshold holding section 908 based on information relating to call setting that is present, is observed for a fixed period, or is required. A cell input regulation section 912 regulates the input of ATM cells to a common buffer if the number of ATM cells inside the buffer held by the intra-buffer cell count section 907 inside the buffer is equal with or greater than the threshold held by the threshold holding section 908.
