For example, when a computer 11b is faulty, the occurrence of the fault is transmitted to the computer 11a, and the address of the jump destination of the instruction in the address indicated by the register 16a is rewritten with the value of a register 15b by an interruption handling program, and contents of the register 16a are rewritten with the value of the register 16b. Thus, the computer 11a executes the processing of the computer 11b also.

    • PURPOSE:To assist a trouble cause diagnosis by an operator in charge of maintenance by connecting a plant data control system which has a data base stored with plant data to a maintenance diagnostic extrapolation system which takes a maintenance diagnosis of a plant, and reading plant data out of the control system and displaying the data when a final detailed diagnosis can not be executed in an extrapolation system. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality information from the plant is inputted to the maintenance diagnosis extrapolation system 10 through an input/output device 13 for diagnosis, the extrapolating mechanism 12 of the extrapolation system 10 reads a diagnostic procedure out of the rule base 11A of a knowledge base 11 to display it on a CRT 13a in IF-THEN format, and also performs extrapolation to take a diagnosis. When the input abnormality information is not covered by the knowledge in the knowledge base 11 and can not be diagnosed, the abnormality is narrowed down to plural abnormality causes and extrapolation is carried out. The extrapolating mechanism generates a key word group corresponding to the plural abnormality causes and the key words are supplied to the data control mechanism 22 of the control system 20 to extract and output data pieces 21a-21n corresponding to the key word group to the CRT 23a and extrapolating mechanism 12.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the load on an operator and to improve the reliability of the operation of a plant by transmitting data to a remote terminal when an address given to data transmitted from a computer is a characteristic address of its own address. CONSTITUTION:The address of a remote terminal equipment 6 to which the remote terminal 4 is connected is added to all data transmitted to a data control device 1 from the remote terminal 4 and data are transmitted. The data control device 1 identifies respective addresses while a prescribed processing is executed. Data of the response is transmitted to the remote terminal 4 if necessary. At that time, the address of the remote terminal 6 of an opposite destination, which is transmitted by adding it to the data of the response is transmitted by adding it by the same system shown in Fig. 3. An address identifier 9 discriminates whether the address given to the data is equal to its own address or not against the data transmitted to the remote terminal equipment 6 through a transmission line 2, a transceiver 3 and a transmission line 2a. The data is transmitted only when it is equal. Thus, an operation is saved.
