    • PURPOSE:To perform a precise and reliable detection without being influenced by vibration, by a method wherein, when detecting a contact, a load, produced at a time when objects to be detected make contact with each other, is detected. CONSTITUTION:One of objects to be detected (not shown) is secured to a table 11 which freely moves in one-way direction against a table 10 and a frame 9. The other of the objects to be detected is fastened to a frame system to be brought to a standstill. With a driving screw 18 turned by a positive and negative turning motor 14 secured to the table 10, a follower 19 with a female screw moved in a direction of an arrow mark. A housing 23 is fastened to the follower, probing contacts 24, which are pressed by a spring 25, are positioned in the housing, and support a L-follower level 20, secured to the table 11, at both sides and between the nip formed by the probing contacts. The table 11 moves with the movement of the follower, but if the objects to be detected make contact with each other, the table 11 stops moving, one of the probing contacts is pushed, which results in displacing the the spring. The displacement is detected by an electric micrometer 27.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the stopping at a substantially proper position, by arranging on a runway for a self-travelling pallete vehicle, three detectors which are adjacent together, and by repeating the deceleration and back-and-forth movement of the vehicle with the use of signals from the detectors so that the vehicle is reciprocated by the detectors. CONSTITUTION:At least three optical detectors 12 which are adjacent together, are arranged in each station on a runway for a self-travelling pallete vehicle 15, and the running speed of the vehicle 15 is controlled in accordance with the output signal of the detectors 12. That is, the speed control is made in such a way that the vehicle 15 is decelerated by the signal from the first detector 12 when the vehicle 15 passes by, then moves back at a crawling speed when the vehicle 15 passes by the second detector 12 since the drive source of the vehicle 12 is reversed, and therefore, advances at a crawling speed due to the detected signal from the first detector 12. When the working is completed during the repetition of the control, the vehicle 15 advances and is accelerated by the signal from the third detector 12 so that the vehicle 15 self-travels to the next station.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the positions of cargo members placed on a conveyor from staggering, by a method wherein a plurality of sets of detectors each of which consists of a plurality of detecting elements are placed along a conveying path, and the velocity of a truck can be arbitrarily controlled, in a conveyor for conveying members while assebling them. CONSTITUTION:When a shielding plate 29 of a self-propelled truck 10 shields the light projected from the first one 27a of the plurality of detecting elements 27a, 27b... placed in a row at the first station, the truck 10 is decelerated by reducing the electric power supplied to, or supplying a recerse electric current to, a motor 19 by a controller 24, and is stopped at the position of the second detecting element 27b. When the members W1, W2 and the like are placed on the truck 10, a starting signal for traveling is fed to the controller 24, a predetermined amount of electric power is supplied to the motor 19, and the truck 10 is started to travel at such a velocity as not to shock the members W. When the shielding plate 29 passes sequentially beyond the positions of the third and fourth detecting elements, sequentially higher outputs of electric power are fed to the motor 19, so that the truck 10 is traveled at an increasing speed toward the second station. Accordingly, the positions of the cargo members are prevented from staggering, and the cargo members can be conveyed at a high speed.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a contact position to be reliably confirmed without being influenced by disturbance such as vibration, by a method wherein, in a positioning at a time when components are assembled, a load, produced when objects to be detected make contact with each other, is detected. CONSTITUTION:A Y-table 10, freely moving in a Y-direction (perpendicularly to a paper surface), and an X-table 11, moving in an X-direction (horizontally), are mounted to a frame 9, and the one end of assembling members such as pumps is attached to the X-table. An X-direction contact detector X is secured to the Y-table. With a drive screw 18 turned by a motor 15 which can turn positively and reversely, a follower body 19 with a female screw moves. Semiconductor load converters 23 are mounted to a nipping part 20 of a drive object, and a bending part 22 of a level 21, secured to the X-table, is positioned between the nip formed by the converters. If the one of the assembling members does not make contact with the other, the table 11 moves togetherwith the drive object, but if they contact with each other, the table stops moving, and the detector 23 detects the load so applied.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly of a product including a main and an accessory bearings, by using a positioning mechanism to detect the outside diameters of a shaft and the maximum eccentricity of the accessory bearing which is allowed within the range of the main and the accessory bearings and by positioning the accessoty bearing at the middle point the maximum eccentricity and thereafter effecting clamping. CONSTITUTION:Conventionally, a roller 3 would be fitted on a shaft 2 inserted in a main bearing 1, a side wall 4 would be mounted by sctews 5 and an accessory bearing 6 would thereafter be assembled. However, according to the present invention, the main bearing 1 previously fitted with the side wall 4 is mounted on a base 11 and securecd by a chuck 13. The accessory bearing 6 is then held by a chuck 18 as the bearing remains loosely clamped by screws 7. After the shaft 2 is pushed and tilted by a cylinder 4, an X-table 17 is caused to slide by a pulse motor 19 until the accessory bearing 6 comes into cntact with the shaft. At the time of the contact, the displacement is measured by a Magnescale 20. Such operation is effected again to tilt the shaft 2 is the opposite direction to measure the opposite displacement. The accessory bearing 6 is thereafter placed in the position corresponding to the mean value of both the displacements and is secured.
