    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for locating a ground fault point of a distribution line by a capacitor addition method for accurately locating the ground fault point even when noise is in a measured current waveform.
      SOLUTION: Ground accident current flowing in a capacitor disposed between the distribution line and the ground is measured, a first current is determined by eliminating a harmonic component, and the first current is Fourier-transformed to obtain the magnitude of the content included in each frequency band of a predetermined width. The frequency bands are ranked in the descending order of the content, the frequency bands between a maximum frequency band and a minimum frequency band are determined until a predetermined order, a second current which is the component of a frequency band between the maximum frequency band and minimum frequency bands is determined based on the first current, and a ground accident point of the distribution line is calculated based on the gradient of the second current.
