    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for defrosting the evaporator coil of an air conditioner automatically without using a static pressure in place of a conventional manual operation.
      SOLUTION: This transport vehicle temperature control device can be operated so as to circulate refrigerant through the evaporator coil for cooling an air conditioning space inside a mobile vehicle and to maintain an ambient temperature in the air conditioning space within the range of a target temperature. This method comprises the steps of detecting the ambient temperature in the air conditioning space, operating to defrost hot cargos when the ambient temperature in the air conditioning space is higher than a set temperature, and starting a first defrosting cycle to remove condensate from the evaporator coil and terminating the first defrosting cycle. The first defrosting cycle comprises a defrosting duration time. The method also comprises the steps of defining a defrosting interval according to the defrosting duration time and starting a second defrosting cycle after the defrosting interval is terminated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a unit for automatically defrosting an evaporator coil of an air-conditioner without any manual operation and without using any static pressure.
      SOLUTION: In the unit and the method for controlling the transport temperature for defrosting an evaporator coil of a transport temperature control unit, the transport temperature control unit comprises an evaporator coil, an ambient temperature sensor to detect the ambient temperature, a return air temperature sensor to detect the return air temperature, an exhaust temperature sensor to detect the exhaust air temperature, an evaporator coil temperature sensor to detect the evaporator coil temperature, and a control unit to start the defrosting cycle when a large differential temperature occurs in the evaporator coil. In this method, the temperature sensors connected to the control unit operable to control the transport temperature control unit are provided, temperatures are detected by the temperature sensors, and transmitted to the control unit, the defrosting cycle is started by the temperature transmitted to the control device, and the control device starts the defrosting cycle.
