    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of designing an viscoelasticity structure (mattress, cushion or the like) for supporting weight of a human being to relax the contact stress between the human body by using a computer.
      SOLUTION: In this method of designing the viscoelasticity structure for supporting weight of a human being to relax the contact stress between the human body by using a computer, a human model formed into a similar shape with a human body and modeled by limited elements is used. This method contains a process for analyzing the stress to be applied to the human model when the human model is brought in contact with the viscoelasticity structure modeled by the limited elements and for computing a target function by changing a design variable. With this design method, a mattress effective to prevent bedsores can be efficiently designed without repeating trial manufacture.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent separation between plies while maintaining the rigidity of the layers of belts by constructing said layers of belts, which are embedded between the tread and the carcass, with four plies, in each of which steel cords and organic fiber cords are arranged with particular angles respectively. CONSTITUTION:A tread 4 is provided on the crown B of the radial ply carcass 2 of a radial tire, and layers of belts 9 are provided between the tread 4 and the carcass 2. The layers of the belts 9 consist of the first to the fourth plies 5 to 8, and the first, third and fourth plies 5, 7 and 8 are constructed with steel cords arranged in the peripheral direction of the tire at angles of 50 deg. to 70 deg., -10 deg. to -30 deg., and -10 deg. to -30 deg., respectively while the second ply 6 is constructed with organic fiber cords arranged in the peripherial direction of the tire at an angle of 0 deg. to 50 deg.. The both ends of the second ply 6 are axially folded inward in such a way that it covers the both ends of the third ply 7, increasing the effect for preventing separation between the plies.
