SOLUTION: This vermin controlling agent has the vermin controlling component supported on a carrier. The vermin controlling agent sinks in water when the effective amount of the vermin controlling component is supported on the carrier and floats on the water surface after the release of the vermin controlling component into the water. This invention further provides a vermin controlling method for the treatment of a water area having the living vermin with the vermin controlling agent.
