    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the influence of disturbance magnetic fields on a magnetic field sensed by a magnetic sensing means.
      SOLUTION: In this position detector, the sensing direction of a sensor 2 is set substantially perpendicular to the direction of disturbance magnetic fields. The sensing direction of the sensor 2 is covered with a first shield 6 in such a manner that the sensing directional end part of the sensor 2 is exposed, whereby the influence of magnetic fields of other directions than the sensing direction on the magnetic field sensed by the sensor 2 is minimized. Further, a second shield 7 is provided to minimize the influence of disturbance magnetic fields on the outer side from the moving distance of magnets 3 and 4 in the moving direction thereof on the magnetic field sensed by the sensor 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for parallel magnetic field detection where uniform winding of a coil is easy, circuit constitution is simple and a cost can be reduced without any difference of resistance of the coils themselves, inductance and the number of magnetic fluxes. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a magnetic path forming member 2 having a closed magnetic path composed of high permeability magnetic material, a magnetic field detection part 1 including at least three coils x1, x2, y1, y2 wound around mutually different parts on the closed magnetic path, an excitation part 3 for applying excitation voltage on these coils, and an output part 6 for detecting, smoothing and outputting the excitation voltage applied on the coils. The coils are excited so that the direction of the magnetic field in the closed magnetic path by the excitation voltage is the same one by the excitation part 3 in the state where a plane including the closed magnetic path is parallel to a parallel magnetic field H with regard to the magnetic path forming member 2, and output in response to the parallel magnetic field is obtained from the output part 6.
