    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely remove moisture by the minimum use of energy since exhaust gas discharged when coal or oil is burnt contains the moisture, and the moisture hinders carbon dioxide adsorption.SOLUTION: The temperature and humidity of the exhaust gas produced from a combustion apparatus is first lowered by passing the exhaust gas through a total heat exchanger rotor 1, and the resultant gas with the temperature and humidity lowered is made to pass a carbon dioxide adsorption rotor 5, and carbon dioxide is removed from the exhaust gas which is then made to pass through the total heat exchanger rotor 1 after the resultant desorption of steam in the total heat exchanger and emitted to the outside atmosphere. The carbon dioxide adsorption rotor 5 is desorbed using steam, and the resultant highly humid carbon dioxide after the desorption is sent to a processing means such as underground embedding.

      SOLUTION: A desorption zone 10 in a dehumidifying rotor 6 is made to be more than twice as large as an adsorption zone, and partial air falling into the adsorption zone 7 is flowed into a purge zone 8 so that the air passing a purge zone 8 is mixed with air passing the desorption zone 10. In this manner, the dehumidifying rotor 6 is cooled enough before falling into the adsorption zone 7 so that even the small adsorption zone 7 can sufficiently exert an adsorption capacity. Therefore, comfortability in a cabin is secured and an adequate defogging capacity is attained.
