    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid DC cable in which discharging in a void can be suppressed, even if void are produced in an insulating layer immediately above a conductor, when load is shut down. SOLUTION: An insulating layer 3 is constituted by a main insulating layer 3A composed of a composite tape made by bonding plastic film and kraft paper, and a kraft paper layer 3B composed of kraft paper with a resistance lower than that of the composite tape. The kraft paper layer 3B is provided immediately above a conductor in a range, where insulating oil gets negatively pressured when shutting down a load. Since a DC electric field sharing is made proportional to the resistance of the insulating layer 3 at each position, the kraft paper layer 3B does not take a share in the DC electric field, so that even if voids are produced in this part, discharging in the void can be suppressed. The kraft paper layer 3B can be provided on the circumference of the main insulating layer 3A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of voids when a load is shut off by winding thin kraft paper in which density and air resistance are the specified value or more and thickness is less than the specified value in the region of the range where insulating oil becomes negative pressure when a load is shut off in an insulating layer in the vicinity of a conductor. SOLUTION: An insulating layer 3 is formed by winding kraft paper, and kraft paper having a thickness of 50 μm is used in an insulating layer 3A in the vicinity of a conductor 1, or on the inner circumferential side. The thin kraft paper has a density of 1.0 g/cm or more, an air resistance of 5000 G.sec or more, and winding thickness of the thin kraft paper is limited to 2 mm. In an insulating layer 3B on the outer circumferential side, the thin kraft paper or kraft paper having a thickness of 70 μm or more is used. The region for winding the thin kraft paper is limited to the main part within the range where negative pressure is generated in insulating oil when a load is shut off. The generation of voids in just above the conductor 1, where voids are generated most easily in partially, not in the whole is suppressed.
