    • PURPOSE:To support a movable cylinder substantially concentrically with a kiln body by providing a support plate in which plate a plurality of support rods extending parallely axially are provided on one of the outer periphery of the movable cylinder and that of a duct cylinder and a plurality of supprort holes to which the support rods are freely fitted are provided on the other. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical kiln body 1 laid slantingly upwardly at the right is connected at its upper end side in the inclination direction with a movable end side duct portion 5, and a sealing device 20 is provided at a location between the external peripheral surfaces thereof. The sealing device 20 includes a movable cylinder 21 provided substantially concentrically with the kiln body 1 and a bellows-shaped sealing cylinder 26 provided between the movable cylinder 21 and a cylinder wall 5b of the end of the duct 5. Further, a plurality of support rods 23 exctending axially parallely toward the side of the duct 5 are fixedly mounted on a tongue-shaped plate 22 provided on the movable cylinder 22, and each support rod 23 is freely fitted into a support hole 25b in a support plate 25 fixedly mounted on the external peripheral surface of the duct 5 through a mounting bracket 24 to support the duct 5 substantially concentrically with the kiln body 1.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of repairing a tire without reducing the operation rate of a rotary kiln by putting the rotary kiln in an operational state, allowing a cutting blade to abut against the outer peripheral surface of the tire, which rotates together with a kiln main body, to perform the cutting, and reparing an unevenly worn-out portion on the outer peripheral surface of the tire. CONSTITUTION:A lathe 33 is set in parallel to a surface of a body of a tire 10 and, after a tip of a cutting tool 34 is so set that the surface of the body of the tire is cut a little at a time from the largest portion of its deflection width, it is moved in parallel to the surface of the body of the tire 10 toward the width direction of the tire 10. With this arrangement, the outer peripheral surface 10a of the tire 10 rotating together with a kiln main body 1 is cut. Then, when the cutting at a cutting tool position is finished, the cutting tool 34 is moved toward the center of the tire 10, and the tire 10 is cut in a similar way. When the cutting of the tire 10 is finished, a pair of support rollers 11, 11 are moved in a direct in which the interval of both the support rollers becomes narrower in accordance with a cutting quantity, thereby finishing the cutting work. By this method, a tire can be repaired in simple work without reducing an operation rate of a rotary kiln.
