摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the poisonous bait agent for controlling insect pests, containing a water-containing gelation agent as a base material and further a specific poisonous bait agent, having excellent attracting and eating properties for various insect pests, and high in the lethal potency. SOLUTION: This poisonous bait agent for controlling the insect pests is prepared by mixing a gelation agent with water, heating the mixture, adding fipronil and, if necessary, an attracting and eating agent and auxiliary agents to the liquidized mixture, and subsequently cooling the mixture. The gelation agent comprises one kind selected from the group consisting of gelan gum, carrageenan, agar, gelatin, locust bean gum, xanthane gum, etc., or the mixture of the materials in an arbitary ratio. The gelan gum is especially preferable. The chemical name of the fipronil as the active ingredient is 5-amino-1-[2,6- dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4[(trifluoromethyl)sulfinyl]-1H-py razole-3- carbonitrile.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a controlling agent effective against various pests, esp. Psychodidae and Phoridae, breeding from or living in purification tanks and other wastewater disposal facilities. CONSTITUTION:This controlling agent contains, as active ingredient, N-(2,6- difluorobenzoyl)-N'-(2-fluoro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)urea. This agent has extraordinarily excellent effect, at low doses, for controlling and preventing the breeding of the larvae, pupae and imagoes of Psychodidae and Phoridae, its dose being 0.001-1000ppm in terms of the level of the active ingredient. This controlling agent can further be formulated with at least one kind of agent selected from insect growth inhibitors, pyrethroid-based insecticides, pyrethroid-like insecticides, organophosphorus-based insecticides, carbamate-based insecticides and chloronicotine-based insecticides, and a synergistic agent such as butyl carbitol, 6-propyl-piperonyl ether or N-octylbicycloheptene carboxyimide.
