    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to express colors more similar to real colored articles as a color sample composed of colored images made by CG technology, and to realize an accurate and quick toning operation.
      SOLUTION: The color sample to evaluate an expression color in a coloring status of an object article to be colored by a coloring agent is comprised of a color sample image 30 displayed by an image display device. The color sample image 30 is obtained by combining shape characteristic information relating to a surface shape of the object article and color characteristic information of the coloring agent. Coloring with the color characteristic information is performed to the surface with the shape characteristic information. In this manner, the colored image of an virtual object is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out proper color matching easily by finding an actual color value of a color reference and a predictive color value for a material to be colored after correcting spectral reflectance. CONSTITUTION:When a combination of plural coloring agents, which are used for coloring a material to be colored the same color as the color of a color reference, is computed by a computer process, an actual color value of the color reference is found on the basis of a spectral reflectance R of the color reference, and on the other hand, a predictive color value is found on the basis of a predictive spectral reflectance (r). In these both computing processes, a corrected spectral reflectance Ralpha, which is found by adding a difference (a-b) between a spectral reflectance (a) containing a mirror face reflected light in a single coloring sample used for obtaining respective data of coloring agents and a spectral reflectance (b) containing no mirror face reflected light to a spectral reflectance B containing no mirror face reflected light in the color reference, in other words, which is indicated by a formula Ralpha=B+(a-b), is used for a reflectance R, and an actual color value of the color reference is found.

    • PURPOSE:To perform color matching quickly and sufficiently accurately by using the data of the composition of resin to be colored which is obtained from the spectral reflectance from a sample for measuring the composition data of the resin to be colored together with coloring agent data, and computing the result of color mixing. CONSTITUTION:A resin sample A is independently colored with each coloring agent among a plurality of coloring agents. A resin sample B is colored by using both a coloring agent and an achromatic color agent. A coloring-agent-data measuring sample comprises the sample A and the sample B. The coloring agent data obtained from the spectral reflectance from the coloring-agent-data measuring sample are used as a basis and processed in a computer. In addition, a resin composition sample C is prepared only with the composition of the resin to be colored as the sample for measuring the composition data of the resin to be colored. A resin composition sample D is prepared with the composition of the resin to be colored which is colored with only the achromatic color agent. The composition data of the resin to be colored obtained from the spectral reflectance from the sample for measuring the composition data of the resin to be colored are used together with the coloring agent data, and the result of the color mixing is computed. In this way, man-hours for preparing the sample can be saved because it is sufficient that only a few items of the composition data of the resin to be colored need be measured and the prototypes are manufactured.
