    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant that reduces the friction at a lubricated portion and decreases a molybdenum content which results in suppressing the burden on the environment.
      SOLUTION: A lubricant composition comprises a lubricant base oil and components (A)-(C) incorporated into the lubricant base oil as given below: the component (A) is a sulfur-containing organic molybdenum complex having a weight ratio of the sulfur content to the molybdenum content of 1-1.4 and is blended in an amount of 300-3,000 weight ppm in terms of molybdenum element based on the total amount of the lubricant composition; the component (B) is a zinc dithiocarbamate and is blended so that the weight ratio of the sulfur content in the component (B) to the molybdenum content in the component (A) is 0.2-4; and the component (C)is one or more kinds of calcium salts of organic acids selected from the group consisting of an alkylphenol, an alkyl salicylic acid, an aliphatic sulfonic acid and an aromatic sulfonic acid and is blended so that the weight ratio of the calcium content in the component (C) to the molybdenum content in the component (A) is 0.2-7. The lubricant composition further comprises a component (D) in addition to the components (A)-(C) as follows: the component (D) is one or more kinds of compounds selected from a metal soap such as a lithium soap or the like and a urea compound and is blended in an amount of 2-30 wt.% based on the total amount of the lubricant composition.
