    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant protective device which promotes the protection of an occupant by way of preventing a solid from interfering with the knees of the occupant in particular, in time of any action of external force due to a car crash or the like, and simultaneously is simply practicable, and besides, there is almost nothing of any influence on an increase in weight. SOLUTION: This occupant protective device 1 is installed in an airspace part lying between a reverse panel surface 5 of a meter cluster panel 32 and a rear end 28 of a brake master cylinder 27, and it is supported on the side of this panel surface 5. In time of external force acting, this occupant protective device 1 comes into contact with the rear end 28 of the solid brake master cylinder 27, but an interfering point with both knees 12 of an occupant is shifted outward to the contact part, and further, since a knee acceptor 2 of the occupant protective device 1 is tilted sarewhat aslant frontward, the knees 12 advance forward along this incline, and thereby the protective device 1 itself rotated counterclockwise. Accordingly, the knees 12 comes into a state of being owed out, separating from the side of the brake master cylinder 27, so any possible interference between the knees 12 and the brake master cylinder 27 is prevented, and thus protection of the occupant 34 is well promoted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam duct structure which has high heat insulation effect and is light weighted and low priced by forming the whole of a duct with resin foam by blow molding and enclosing air in the inside of a foam cell. SOLUTION: A heating duct 1 is formed by many foam cells 2 obtained by foaming a synthetic resin fused body, and air 3 is enclosed in each foam cell. A foaming agent is previously mixed in the synthetic resin, fused and mixed, and extruded from a die into a form block where a cylindrical parison is opened, and the form block is closed to blow gas (air) into the parison, thereby forming a duct of a desired shape. In the course of the process, the internal pressure is lowered to foam a foaming agent to form a foam cell 2 where air 3 is enclosed. As synthetic resin, for example, poly olefin resin such as polypropyrene, polyethylene or the like is applied. The duct itself is formed by a foaming body by blow molding, so that the manufacturing man hour can be reduced to execute manufacture at a low cost, and the structure can be formed light-weighted.
