    • PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor element which can be manufactured simply at a low cost, which is discolored when the element comes into contact with moisture, aceton, methanol, ethanol and the like and which can be visually detected, by incorporating the compound shown by the specified formula. CONSTITUTION:The compound shown by the formula is incorporated in a sensor element. As the low alkyl group of R, the alkyl group having the carbon number of 1 - 4, e.g. the group of methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl or t-butyl, is preferable. As the actual compound in the formula, there is 2,6-diphenyl-4-(2,4,6- triphenyl-N-pyridilino)phenolate or the like. The sensor element is constituted by forming a film on a transparent substrate. The film is formed of the solution wherein the compound can be dissolved in organic solvent or solvent wherein a film forming carrier is dissolved as required. As the film forming carrier, the material having the miscibility with the compound of the formula and which does not substantially affect the absorbing spectrum when the sensor element is used can be employed. The obtained sensor element is provided between a light emitting part and a light receiving part and can be used as a measuring apparatus.

    • PURPOSE:To easily produce dye-solution in large quantities and to improve economy and safety by providing a container, a light emitting element and a light receiving element. CONSTITUTION:Substance obtained by solving dyestuffs in solvent sufficiently refined and being filtered is used as the solution. The light emitting element 2 is provided so that light may be emitted to the container 1 which is filled with the dye-solution and a filter 3 which specifies wavelength is stuck to the light receiving part of the container 1. Furthermore, the light receiving element 4 for receiving the light transmitted through the container 1 and a detecting device 5 which detects the change of the output of the light receiving element 4 are provided. Then, the light receiving element 4 measures that transmittivity with specified wavelength is changed in the functional dye-solution in accordance with temperature so as to detect the temperature. Thus, wiring becomes unnecessary and the solution is easily produced in large quantities, then safety is improved at low price.
