Further, the flange part 2-a of the battery 2 is pressed by the hood part 11-a of a circuit pressure plate 11 to fix the battery 2 to the timepiece 8. Then, a hermetic sealing part for leading out the electrode 1 is pressed in a hole bored in the pressure plate 11 to prevent the battery 2 from rotating. Thus, the hermetic sealing part is extended in a plane from the center wheel 6 to an hour wheel 7 to prevent the timepiece 8 from becoming thicker, thereby obtaining the thin, long-life electronic timepiece.
