    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which has no possibility of staining a recording medium with an ink abandoned when a starting end or a terminal end and furthermore, both ends of the recording medium are printed without leaving margin, and furthermore, which surely regulates a position when the printing medium is printed and does not lower the quality of the printing. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: a recording head 1 having a nozzle array 2 in which a number of nozzles are arranged in the sub-scanning direction; a platen 3 provided by opposing the recording head and regulating the position when the printing medium is printed; a paper conveying roller 8; and a paper discharging roller 9. The platen is formed so that a first hole 11 is provided on the platen face of a part opposing the down stream side in the sub-scanning direction of the nozzle array, and when the starting end 7 of the recording medium is printed with no margin, the ink 12 abandoned as it is out of the starting end is introduced into the first hole. The lever end part 28c formed in a tongue shape is formed at the corner part of the plate spring. When a paper return operation is performed, the lever end part 28c is pushed back by the paper sheet during the feeding due to the elastic deformation of the plate spring 30. Consequently, damage is prevented from being imparted to the paper during the feeding.
