摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the bulk handling of a radioactive waste without increasing the quantity of it by adsorbing technetium in a liquid waste into ion exchangers and passing a cleaning fluid heated to a higher temperature than the liquid waste through a column to desorbing the technetium from the ion exchangers. SOLUTION: By operating three-way valves 2 and 7, a high-level liquid waste storage tank 1 is communicated with the intake side of a pump 3 and the discharge side at the lower end of an ion-exchange column 5 with a liquid waste storage tank 9. The pump 3 feeds a high-level liquid waste through the three- way valve 2 to a thermostat 4, where the liquid waste is cooled to the first temperature or lower, and it flows into the column 5. Technetium in the liquid waste has anions, which are adsorbed into ion exchangers with which the column 5 is filled, and the liquid waste is fed to the storage tank 9. Then, the three-way valve 2 is operated to cool a cleaning fluid from a cleaning fluid storage tank 6 by a regulator 4 and let to flow the fluid into the column 5. Subsequently, the adsorbed technetium is desorbed by heating the regulator and is discharged together with the cleaning fluid from the column 5.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the removing efficiency of nitrogen oxide by constituting a catalyst by supporting silver and cobalt on a gamma-alumina carrier and bringing the same into contact with engine exhaust gas in the presence of an org. compd. of which the wt. ratio becomes a specific range with respect to nitrogen oxide. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for removing nitrogen oxide in engine exhaust gas is constituted by using gamma-alumina as a carrier and supporting silver and cobalt on the carrier. Silver and cobalt are successively laminated to the carrier and the ratio of cobalt with respect to the whole of the supported metals is specified to 0.1-50 wt.% in terms of the metal elements. Further, the carrier is immersed in a silver salt aq. soln. to support silver on the carrier and, after the supported carrier is baked, the carrier is immersed in a cobalt salt aq. soln. to support cobalt on the silver layer and the supported carrier is baked. Engine exhaust gas containing oxygen whose amt. is larger than theoretical combustion quantity is brought into contact with the nitrogen oxide removing catalyst in the presence of an org. compd. (light oil) of which the wt. ratio to nitrogen oxide is 0.5-5.

When the spent nitride nuclear fuel is solved in nitric acid during reprocessing, C is discharged as CO2 in off-gas. The CO2 in the off-gas is let crystal silicic acid calsium hydrate absorb in the existence of water and is fixed as calsite, which is formed by pressing. For the crystalline calcium silicate hydrate used is not limited but tobermorite is preferable because its CO2 fixing ability is high and its volume compression in the press forming after the fixing is easy. Any of natural tobermorite and one synthesized hydrothemally will do for it.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concentrate efficiently krypton existing by a very small amount in a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen by a method wherein, when krypton in the mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen is concentrated by an adsorption and desorption method of a pressure varying system, desorption gas in a fixed bed absorbing column is sent into the other fixed bed absorbing column. SOLUTION: In equipment wherein krypton in a mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen is concentrated by a pressure varying system adsorption and desorption method using three fixed bed adsorption columns 16-18 in which hydrogenated mordenite is filled, a krypton-containing raw material gas-sending in pump 10, a pump 20 for sending desorption gas in cleaning, and a pressure reduction pump for desorption by pressure reduction 21 are provided. Then, by sending desorption gas in a fixed bed adsorbing column under the almost same pressure as pressure in adsorption operation of desorption gas into the other fixed bed adsorbing column adsorbing the gas, the inside of the column is sufficiently cleaned. Thereafter, the krypton is concentrated by desorbing operation. Thereby, the krypton is concentrated 10 to 1000 times by volume ratio.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a method for separating and recovering platinum family elements and technetium with a high purity at a high yield from the nitric acid soln. of spent unclear fuel or the waste liquids generated from reprocessing plants. CONSTITUTION: The nitric acid soln. of spent nuclear fuel or a waste liquid generated from the reprocessing plant is brought into contact with anion exchange resin to selectively adsorb the platinum family elements, such as palladium and ruthenium, and technetium in the solns. The anion exchange resin is an anion exchange resin consisting of high-molecular polymers as base bodies and having heterocyclic groups contg. nitrogen atoms as functional groups or a weakly basic anion exchange resin having primary to secondary amine groups as functional groups. The ion exchange resin after the adsorption is successively brought into contact with a dilute nitric acid soln., aq. soln. contg. thiourea or ammonia and concd. nitric acid soln., thereby, the ruthenium, palladium and technetium adsorbed on the ion exchange regions are respectively selectively eluted and recovered.

摘要： PURPOSE:To effectively remove nitrogen oxides in a waste combustion gas, in which a large quantity of oxygen coexists, by bringing the waste gas produced by the combustion of a fuel into contact with a catalyst prepared by carrying a transition metal element on gamma-alumina or silica.alumina in the presence of an organic compound. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas produced by the combustion of the fuel and containing >=0.5% O2 is brought into contact with the catalyst obtained by carrying the transition metal element (e.g. Cu) on gamma-alumina or silica.alumina in the coexistence of the organic compound (e.g. hydrocarbons). As a result, the nitrogen oxides in the waste combustion gas, in which a large quantity of oxygen coexists, is efficiently removed and the method for removing nitrogen oxides in the waste combustion gas is realized by using the catalyst easy to mold and usable even at a high temp. The catalyst has long service life and is free from the deterioration of the property even under the presence of SOX.
