    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the problem wherein the conditions in use for lubricating oils have become more severe as transmissions have become more compact and are run under a high speed condition speeds and a high load.
      SOLUTION: A lubricating oil composition comprises a mineral oil and/or a synthetic base oil, a metal dithiophosphate, which is regarded heretofore as having low extreme-pressure characteristics, and a poly(meth)acrylate containing a polar hydroxyl group in a base oil. The lubricating oil composition further comprises a dihydrocarbyl carbamate acid derivative. With this lubricating oil composition, the anti-seizing characteristics are good and the extreme-pressure characteristics are the same as or better than with sulphur/phosphorus type extreme-pressure agents. Also, the fatigue characteristics are low, oxidation stability is high and long life can be achieved.
