    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to find and estimate the indication of the deterioration in a reinforced concrete construction at an early period accurately, by overlapping the distribution graph of natural potential and the distribution graph of resistivity, thereby judging the corroded area of reinforcing steel. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of a potentiometer 1 is connected to a steel piece (m) in a reinforced concrete construction M through a conductor 2. The other terminal thereof is connected to a reference electrode 3. Then, the reference electrode 3 is brought into contact with each measuring point, and the average natural potential (value obtained by averaging the measured potentials in a typical range) of all the measuring points is measured, and the potential distribution graph is formed. Resistivities are obtained as follows: four electrodes 5 are inserted in the surface layer part of the concrete surface (n), where the natural potential is measured; AC is conducted across the electrodes on both sides; a voltage across the two inner electrodes is measured; and the resistivity is obtained. A resistivity distribution graph is formed based on the result. It can be determined that the distribution graph of the part, where the corroding range of reinforcing steel in the potential distribution graph is overlapped on the corroding range of the steel in the resistivity graph, is the corroding region, where breakdown strength of the reinforcing steel is decreased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the defect that a caisson scale has had to enlarge owing to the prevention of the deformation of a caisson body due to external pressure in the case of the immersion of the caisson body in a conventional soft-ground improvement device. SOLUTION: In the soft-ground improvement device, a heavy article for penetration having rigidity and weight is connected detachably to the caisson body in which an underside is opened through a connecting means, and the caisson body is immersed into a soft ground at negative pressure. The connecting means is composed of eye plates installed to the caisson body and the heavy article for penetration, through-holes formed to both eye plates, connecting pins inserted into the through-holes, an L-shaped lever in which a base section is supported rotatably to the heavy article and pivot shafts connecting the lower-side lever of the L-shaped lever and the connecting pins, and the connecting pins are inserted or detached into or from the through-holes of the eye plates by operating the upper-side lever of the L-shaped lever. A plurality of the connecting means are used, each L-shaped lever of the connecting means is coupled mutually by a common connecting rod, and others are operated simultaneously by operating arbitrary one of the L-shaped levers.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a large-scale device for constructing a rubble mound by a method in which a space is provided in the central portion of the bottom of a caisson, an air-tight film is closely adhered to the inside of the space, the caisson is set in a temporarily caisson receiving portion on the rubble mound, and then cement mortar is injected into the film. CONSTITUTION:Rubble is charged onto a foundation ground under water to form a rubble mound 2 having a caisson temporarily receiving portion 3. When towing a caisson A whose bottom is provided with a film 10, air is evacuated through a charging and discharging hole 8 to produce a vacuum between the caisson bottom the film and thereby to closely adhere the film to the inner wall of the space a, and a temporarily receiving projection 6 for the caisson A is set on the temporarily receiving portion 3 of the rubble mound 2. The reduced pressure condition of the charging and discharging hole 8 is released and then cement mortar is injected into the charging and discharging hole 8' at the central part until the cement mortar 13 is packed between the caisson A bottom and the film 10, whereupon the film is expanded and contacted closely with the upside of the rubble mound 2.
