    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized filter usable for a power supply circuit and having a function of absorbing or suppressing noise and a lightning surge or the like.
      SOLUTION: A ceramic element 1 is constituted of: an inductor 14; capacitors 17, 18 integrated with both sides of the inductor section 14 via insulation layers 15, 16; and insulation protective layers 19, 20 formed on them. The inductor 14 comprises two sets of spiral conductor layers 105, 106 formed in parallel in a direction orthogonal to element principal surfaces 2, 3 inside a ceramic base made of a soft magnetic material, and the capacitors 17, 18 comprise varistors 107 to 111 each comprising ceramic bases made of varistor materials and dielectric layers formed inside the ceramic base and in parallel with the element principal surfaces 2, 3. The conductive layers are connected to electrode terminals 6 to 9, 12 and 13 to attain a prescribed filter configuration.
