    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an org. EL element which has a high luminance, durability, and a specified peak wavelength by using a diamine compd. as the luminescent substance of an org. luminescent layer and an Eu complex having an alkoxy, fluorene, or heterocyclic group as the dopant for the luminescent layer. SOLUTION: This EL element at least comprises an anode, an org. luminescent layer, a hole blocking layer, an org. electron transport layer, and a cathode. The luminescent substance of the luminescent layer is N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-di(3- methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine represented by formula I or N,N'- diphenyl-N,N'-dinaphthyl-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine represented by formula III, and the dopant for the luminescent layer mainly comprises an Eu complex represented by formula II [wherein R1 is (substd.) 1-20C alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl; and R2 is H, OH, (substd.) 1-20C alkyl, etc.]. This element has a peak wavelength of 600nm or higher.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical element of excellent reliability without generating peeling by partly connecting an electrode layer to a negative electrode layer in the condition where it is not in contact with a part of a light emission zone of an organic electroluminescence layer, and composing the electrode layer of material of favorable tight application performance. SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescence element 20, an extension electrode 21 and a negative electrode layer 17 are connected to each other at a part apart from a light emission zone 15x of an organic electroluminescence layer 15 in the condition where part of the extension electrode 21 is under the negative electrode layer 17. A substrate 11 is composed of quartz glass substrate. A positive electrode layer 13 is composed of an ITO film of a film thickness of 180nm. The organic electroluminescence layer 15 comprises a positive hole transport layer and an electron transporting light emission layer laminated in this order. The extension electrode 21 is composed of a magnesium film. The positive electrode layer 13 and the negative electrode layer 17 are provided in such a disposition relation that respective stripe directions orthogonally cross each other.

    • PURPOSE:To transmit information between liposome by means of chemical substances by providing on a substrate a first liposome having the chemical substances therein and optical reactivity and a second liposome having film potential sensitive substances therein and fluorescent emission. CONSTITUTION:On a polystyrene substrate 42 are provided a first optical reactive liposome 56 including chemical substances and a second fluorescent liposome including film potential sensitive substances. The first liposome 56 is composed of the mixed lipids of optical resoluble phospholipid and natural phospholipid constituting its lipid bimolecular membrane. When the bio element is irradiated by light, any chemical substance will be discharged from the liposome 56 through optical resolving and be taken in the liposome 58, resulting in changing the film potential of liposome. There will occur any changes in fluorescent intensity of the liposome 58 together with its change. Thus, external information can be transmitted through the optical stimulation from the first liposome to the second liposome via chemical substances.
