    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint which is formed without threading, and advantageous for the machining labor and the cost without impairing the strength of a tube or reducing the rust-proof effect.
      SOLUTION: A screw joint has unevenness in a part of a tube in a spirally deformed manner. In a conventional technology, tubes are connected to each other by threading end parts of the tubes. By using this system, no threading is required. This system is advantageous in time and economy, and handy in the connection work equivalent to the connection by threading. The strength of the joint is enhanced, and maintenance of a rust-proof film is expected, and the joint of excellent quality is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resistant structure which can positively prevent liquefaction of the ground and collapse of a slope, and facilitates construction thereof in an existing mound or in the natural ground, and to provide an earthquake resisting method. SOLUTION: The earthquake resistant structure is implemented by driving drain pipes 2 each having a number of holes 4 formed therein along a longitudinal direction and having one end thereof almost acutely closed as a closed section 5, into the ground 1. By virtue of ground compaction effect due to driving of the drain pipes 2 into the ground 1, the strength of the drain pipes 2 per se, and the draining function of the drain pipes 2 per se, liquefaction of the ground at the time of an earthquake or local severe rain, collapse of the slope, etc. can be prevented.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of restricting slope failure measures by utilizing a strength originally possessed by the ground, since a soft layer is formed by the influence of underground water flow or the like at the boundary portion between the bedrock (fixed layer) and colluvial sediment layer at the natural slope surface and a main sliding surface is formed thereby it passes through the colluvial sediment layer having a relatively high strength, when the sliding surface rises to the ground surface,and thus the slope failure measure must be considered by utilizing the strength originally possessed by the ground.
      SOLUTION: A collapsing block is divided into smaller pieces, by arranging resistive body heterogeneously inside the slope, and a shear failure plane is induced to the block boundary portion by creating different sliding behavior between blocks. A new failure surface induced becomes a part of the sliding surface inside the colluvial sediment layer, having a relatively higher strength, as compared to the sliding surface formed in a soft layer and offers an effect of improving a means sliding surface strength inside a block and the stabilization is also improved.
