      SOLUTION: The ion water generator is provided which includes an electrolyzing switching electric power source 2 generating a direct-current output in which an envelope becomes pulsating flow of a half wave of a sine wave by switching the rectified voltage of a commercial alternating-current electric power source, polarity switching means (3, 4 and 15 to 17) supplying an electric current to the electrodes 1a and 1b while the polarity of a direct-current output is periodically reversed to implement polarity reverse at the zero cross of the rectified voltage, and switching control means (15, 16 and 18 to 20) controlling the electrolyzing switching electric power source 2, terminating the output of an electric current at its zero cross when a polarity reverse command is received from the polarity switching means and thereafter, starting the output of an electric current by implementing the polarity reverse, thus the output of an electric current is terminated at the zero cross after the polarity reverse is commanded. Further, when the output of an electric current is started by implementing the polarity reverse, it starts from zero by the sine wave. Accordingly, when the polarity is switched, a drastic change in electric current is not generated.
