    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator having a piezoelectric device as an oscillation source and a new vibration form and an electronic appliance.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric device 20 is attached to one face of an elastic member 10. A supporting member 40 supports the other face of the elastic member 10 reverse to the face to which the piezoelectric device 20 is attached. A control part 50 is for inputting operation signals to the piezoelectric device 20. The frequency of the operation signals is the resonance frequency of an oscillation member composed of the elastic member 10 and the piezoelectric device 20. In a plane view, the elastic member 10 supports a portion of at least the piezoelectric device 20 to be the belly of vibrations when the piezoelectric device 20 is oscillated with the resonance frequency. Consequently, the elastic member 10 and the piezoelectric device 20 are vibrated just like a piston but not like a bending style.
