    • PURPOSE:To discriminate the pre-operating state of a test data generating program in detail by providing a state recorder having an initial state recording part and a progressive state recording part, and referring to the information of both parts. CONSTITUTION:Recording data in the state recorder 2 is initialized by a preliminary initialization means 1 before it is used. The test data generating program 5 is provided with an initial decision part 6 to perform conditional decision at the time of starting a program, a progressive state output part 7 to record a state in generating test data, and a completion recording part 8 to record information at the time of completing the generation of the test data, and performs the write or the readout of the information on the state recorder 2. And the initial state recording part 3 and the progressive state recording part 4 of the state recorder 2 are generated by using the preliminary initialization means 1, and those parts are referred when the test data generating program 5 is executed. In such a way, it is possible to discriminate whether the operation is a rerun operation or first execution by the test data generating program 5 itself.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a host computer by setting up a mask on a work station side, sending a masked original record to the host computer and finding out coincidence between two original records. CONSTITUTION:An input means 140 analyzes a command including mask setting inputted from an input device 130, executing the prescribed mask setting of an original record displayed on a picture display device 110 and reads out a cursor position at that time. A buffer updating means 160 updates an original record in an original record buffer 151 on the basis of the mask setting and controls the sending of the updated original record to the host computer 200. On the host computer 200 side, the sent updated original record is reflected to an original record file by a record I/O means 220 to find out coincidence between the two original records. Consequently, only the transfer of a batch file is sufficient for operation between the work station 100 and the host computer 200, so that the load of the host computer 200 can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION:An input device 3 and an original record updating means 4 are provided, and information of the presence or the absence of the part where the difference as the result of comparison should be ignored, the part where the difference should be ignored, and the value of a mask code which substitutes said part with a specific code are inputted from the input device 3, and the original record updating means 4 adds information given from the input device 3 to the original record and records it in a comparison original record recorder 5 as a comparison original record. Records to be compared are inputted from the comparison original record recorder 5 and a comparison record recorder 6 and are compared with each other by a record comparing means 7, and information of disaccord is displayed on a result display device 8 if this comparison results in disaccord. Thus, comparison is efficiently performed to detect the difference in case of a large quantity of comparison data.
