    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency oscillator capable of easily correcting the oscillated frequency even in modulating by an optional frequency modulation width. SOLUTION: An oscillated signal outputted from a VCO 1 is transmitted through a transmission line 10a, and resonator 2 is coupled to the transmission line 10a thereby. Then the resonator 2 is excited and coupled to a transmission line 10b, and an RF signal with a level in response to the frequency of the oscillated signal is transmitted through the transmission line 10b. The oscillated frequency and the level of the RF signal have a relation uniquely decided by setting the resonance frequency of the resonator 2 to a frequency higher than that within an oscillated frequency modulation range of the VCO 1. A detector 3 detects the RF signal and provides an output to a control section 4. The control section 4 corrects a control voltage signal given to the VCO 1 on the basis of the level of the detection signal and provides an output of the result to the VCO 1 to correct the oscillated frequency of the VCO 1.
