    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel with a damper mechanism for effectively absorbing vibration in the axial and radial directions of a shaft mounted on a base via a bearing, and to provide a control moment gyroscope. SOLUTION: The flywheel having a housing storing a rotating mass comprises a holder provided between the base and the bearing. Viscose fluid is laid between a shielding plate at the end of a bearing cartridge and an isolating plate of the base and viscose fluid and an O-ring are laid between the outer peripheral face of the bearing cartridge and the inner face of the holder. In this case, vibration in the axial direction of the shaft is absorbed by the viscose fluid laid between the outer peripheral face of the bearing cartridge and the inner face of the holder and between the isolating plate of the base and the shielding plate of the bearing cartridge, and vibration in the radial direction of the shaft is absorbed by the elasticity of the O-ring and the squeezed film damping effect of the viscose fluid.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel provided with an effective damping mechanism for absorbing vibration in radial direction of a shaft, and a control moment gyro.
      SOLUTION: In the flywheel which is provided with the shaft rotatably mounted via a bearing to a base connected with a housing and accommodates low teaching mass which is mounted to the shaft, it is provided with a tubular holder between the base and the bearing and simultaneously interposes viscous fluid and O-ring between outer peripheral surface of a bearing cartridge and inner surface of the holder. The flywheel is capable of absorbing vibration in axial direction of the shaft by the viscous fluid between the outer peripheral surface of the bearing cartridge and the inner surface of the holder and capable of absorbing vibration in radial direction of the shaft due to elasticity of the O-ring and squeeze film damper effect of the viscous fluid. The flywheel may interpose position of the O-ring between the outer peripheral surface of the holder and the base and moreover may interpose the viscous fluid between them.
