    • PURPOSE:To permit the removal of the adhered ash of fuel efficiently with a high workability by a method wherein a viscous gelling substance having a high water content is adhered to the surface of the adhered ash and the outside thereof is covered by a film type substance having a low water transmittance to soften the adhered ash with moisture in the gelling substance and remove it physically from the adhering surface of the ash. CONSTITUTION:A viscous gelling substance having a high water content is applied on the surface of adhered ash 2 accumulated on a heat transfer tube 1 with the thickness of 1-2mm. Next, the outer surface of the coated gelling substance 3 is covered with a film 4 formed of a substance having a low water transmittance. In this case, the film 4 is constituted of a substance, precluding the dispersion of moisture in the gelling substance 3 and having a function to impregnate the moisture into only the adhered ash 2. When the film 4 is applied, the gelling substance and the film are left for several hours. During this period, the moisture in the gelling substance is impregnated into the adhered ash to wet and inflate it. Thereafter, the film 4 is removed and the applied gelling substance 3 as well as the objective adhered ash 2 may be separated from the heat transfer tube 1 easily by a scraper and the like.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the maintenance with a quick and accurate measurement of pH value of feed seawater by determining the absorbancy thereof when light from a light source transmits a measuring cell containing the feed seawater colored in accordance with its pH. CONSTITUTION:With the opening or closing of a solenoid valve 8, a fixed amount of a feed seawater to a decarboxylation column is stored in a measuring cell 9 through a sampling tube 7. When the quantity of the seawater reaches a fixed level in the cell 9, with the opening or closing of a solenoid valve 18, a specified amount of color developing agent is dripped from a vessel 17 for the color developing agent. At the same time, an ultrasonic vibrator 13 works to mix the feed seawater and the color developing agent uniformly in the cell 9 so that the feed seawater is colored according to its pH. Subsequently, an absorptiometer 20 is actuated. Light received by a photo detector 16 is absorbed by the colored sea water in the cell 9 according to the hue thereof thereby enabling the measurement of the pH value of the feed seawater depending on the absorbancy thus obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To remove phosphates in waste liquid effectively and to contrive to save resources and to reutilize wastes by bringing solid wastes contg. a large amt. of Ca and F compds. contained in the waste water of stack gas desulphurization process into contact with the water to be treated.
CONSTITUTION: The water to be treated 1 is mixed and brought into contact with powdery sludge 3 and recycled seed crystals 7 in a crystallization reaction vessel 2. In this stage, the phosphates contained in the water to be treated deposit on the surface of the powdery sludge 3 and the recycled seed crystals 7 in the form of crystals of calcium phosphate. At the start of the operation, the powdery sludge is charged in a proportion to obtain 5W10g/l liq. mixture, but the amt. of the charge is set in the stationary state of the operation to obtain a weight ratio of Ca contained in said powdery sludge to the phosphate contained in the water to be treated to be 1:(3W5). The liquid mixture in the crystallization reaction vessel 2 is transferred to a precipitation vessel 5 where it is separated into water to be treated 6 and seed crystal 7 to be recycled.

    • PURPOSE: Phosphates contained in liquid are effectively removed by bringing particulate material contg. an insoluble Ca salt into contact previously with the water to be treated, then allowing further the particulate material to contact with the water to be treated in the presence of Ca salt and be separated.
CONSTITUTION: Phosphate-contg. water to be treated is introduced into a crystallization reaction vessel 3 while mixing with a Ca salt 2 contg. ≥ equiv. amt. of Ca. The pH of the water to be treated is adjusted to 6W8 in the crystallization reaction vessel, and the crystallization reaction proceeds by the mixing and contact of seed crystals 10 for the preliminary contact, water to be treated 1, and Ca salt 2. The liquid mixture is separated in the succeeding solid-liquid separating vessel 4 to supernatant water 5 and precipitated seed crystals 6. Most of the seed crystals 6a among the precipitated seed crystals 6 are returned continuously to the crystallization reaction vessel 3, and a part of the seed crystals are discharged as excessive seed crystal 7 out of the system intermittently or introduced continuously into a regeneration vessel as seed crystals for regeneration 6b.

    • PURPOSE:To make a deodorizing equipment compact and automatic and to prolong the life of active carbon, by providing a cover to a refuse pit chamber and performing dust-removal and chemical washing before active carbon adsorption, in a process that an atomospheric gas in the pit chamber of the titled plant is sucked into an active carbon adsorbing tower. CONSTITUTION:When deodorizing of atmospheric gas in a refuse pit chamber 1 is required, a little volume of the gas is sucked from a hole 5 by a fan 8 after covering the whole chamber 1 with a cover 2. The gas removed dust in it by a filter 6 is washed with an aqueous sodium hypochlorite solution and discharged to the air after the odorous components are adsorbed by an active carbon adsorbing tower 9. The cover 2 is equipped with an automatic open-and-close mechanism; the opening and closing of the cover 2 and the deodorizing equipment are automated to work by an electric signal when refuse are charged into the chamber 1 from a dump truck. Thus a diffusion of the gas is prevented in a case that the function of an incinerator stops and the chamber 1 is not used for combustion air. Further, the equipment is made compact because the sucked gas quantity is decreased. Further, the function of the equipment is always displayed by said automation.
