摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working tool for a dry working gear having an excellent abrasion resistance and capable of a high speed cutting. SOLUTION: A coat 10 consists of a substrate layer 11 of a TiN coat having a high adhesion strength, an upper layer 12 of a TiAlN having a high hardness and an excellent oxidation resistance, and an intermediate layer 13 provided between the substrate layer 11 and the upper layer 12 for improving an adhesive strength between the substrate layer 11 and the upper layer 12 by alternately stacking a TiN coat layer 14 and a TiAlN coat layer 15. The coat 10 is formed on a cutting edge surface of a hob made from a high speed steel, thus providing a dry working gear having an excellent abrasion resistance and capable of a high speed cutting.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely discharge chips in tooth profile formation and to suppress the occurrence of so-called gouge by biting of chips by performing a hobbing by reverse winding conventional cut or an equal winding conventional cut. SOLUTION: A high-speed tool steel hob 1 and a work 2 are mounted in a prescribed position of a gear hobbing machine, and the hob 1 and the work 2 are rotated in a rotating direction for forming equal winding conventional cut or reverse winding conventional cut. The hob 1 is set to a rotating speed suitable for dry cut. The hob 1 is brought into contact with the work 2 without supplying hydraulic oil to cut the work 2, and a tooth profile is formed. In the equal winding conventional cut and reverse winding conventional cut, chips are originally hardly welded to the hob 1, and even if the chips are adhered to the hob 1, the chips are fallen while the hob 1 is rotated. Accordingly, a gear can be formed without causing biting of chips or gouge.

As a result, when the chattering vibration of the end mill 10 is going to be started, the vibration energy of the chattering vibration is absorbed by friction and collision between many steel balls 6 and the inner periphery surface of the damper hole 5, and the chattering vibration can be restrained.
