    • PURPOSE:To highly accurately print the color of the picture of a color monitor by a printer by compressing a color with the same ratio on the color of the same hue in the direction of the brightness of color and the direction of a chroma. CONSTITUTION:The R, G, B signals of a picture element displayed on the color monitor 72 are received to transform them to values on the coordinate of a color space and the color reproducing area of the color monitor 72 is linearly converted in the direction of the brightness of color so as to make a distance between two points representing two specific colors equal in the respective color reproducing areas of the color monitor 72 and the printer 60 of the color space. Further, the color reproducing area of the color monitor 72 is linearly converted to the direction of the chroma so as to make the colors the highest in the chroma and of the same hue coincide, thereby, the value on the coordinate of the color monitor 72 is transformed to the value on the coordinate of the color reproducing area of the printer 60 and the transformed valued on the coordinate are transformed to the Y, M, C signals of the printer. Thereby, all colors capable being displayed by the color monitor can be converted with high accuracy to colors capable of being displayed by the printer.

    • PURPOSE:To alter to a favorably delicate color by a simple operation by inputting a color image signal via an external interface, outputting a color image signal corrected for specific color based on information regarding the color correction of the specific color by a color corrector, and printing to output the color image signal by a printer. CONSTITUTION:Information regarding a color correction, i.e., a function for designating a color desired to be corrected and conversion of desired hue, etc. is input, and stored in a memory by a microprocessor 1A. Y signal, M signal and C signal composed of 8 bits are input externally via an external interface 6, and image memory is stored by the microprocessor 1A. Then, the functions YY4 (=2/3), YM (=1/3), MC (=1/3) stored in the memory are converted into Y function designation number, M function designation number, C function designation number composed of 6 bits, and supplied to a color corrector 7 by the microprocessor 1A. The Y signal TY, M signal TM and C signal TC composed of the color corrected 6 bits are supplied to a head driver 8 by the color corrector 7, and printed by a printing head 9.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly accurate reproduction color estimation system capable of accurately calculating the area ratio of fundamental colors by calculating an area ratio at every primary color and color mixture to the whole of a pixel on the basis of a space factor due to the primary color and color mixture in a sub-dot. CONSTITUTION:Tristimulus values (X, Y, Z) are indicated with respect to eight kinds of fundamental colors. Subsequently, the dot patterns at every primary colors of three kinds to matrix like dots constituting a pixel are indicated. Next, with respect to the area only of the original dot when printing is performed over a prescribed area or more by a certain one dot, the ratio of the area of a part exceeding said area up and down as well as left and right is indicated. Next, from the dot patterns at every primary colors of three indicated kinds, a sub-dot pattern wherein a dot is further finely divided into matrix like sub-dots is prepared. Subsequently, the space factor occupying in a dot at every fundamental colors of eight kinds in one pixel are calculated on the basis of the sub-dot pattern prepared at every primary colors of three kinds. Thereafter, tristimulus values of a synthetical color to one pixel are calculated using the calculated space factor.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a reproducing-color predicting method having excellent accuracy by investigating the presence of the printing of ink as a basis at every dot, counting the number of the dots of all colors existing in one picture element composed of a dot matrix and acquiring an area factor to the whole one picture element. CONSTITUTION:The N kinds of Yi, Mi and Ci in array consisting of 1 and 0 corresponding to the positions of dot matrices forming one picture element, a shape that 1 is disposed at the positions of dots to be printed and 0 at the positions of dots not printed, are combined and assigned. The array of dot patterns Yi, Mi and Ci of No.i Y, M and C in the dot patterns of N kinds is set, and either of the eight colors of W, Y, M, C, R, G, B and K is decided at every dot according to the dot patterns. The number of the dots of each color is counted, an area factor at a time when the area of the whole dot matrices made up of LMAX lines and MMAX rows constituting one picture element is represented by 1 is acquired, and the tristimulus values of colors are computed. The area factor and the tristimulus values of eight colors assigned first are substituted, and the tristimulus values of the color of an (i) picture element obtained are determined.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a jet port from being clogged, by disposing a perforated mesh film with a feeding mechanism in contact with the jet port, and jetting an ink through a hole of the mesh film. CONSTITUTION:An ink 2 is supplied from an ink-reserving part 1 into a groove 3 by a pressurizing mechanism. The ink 2 supplied into the groove 3 is heated by a heat generating resistor 5, whereby a bubble 7 is generated in the ink 2, and under the action of the bubble 7, a droplet 8 of the ink is allowed to pass through a jet port 4 and a hole 9 of a mesh film 11 and to fly to a recording medium 6, thereby forming an image. When the hole 9 of the mesh film 11 is clogged due to drying of the ink 2 or the like, a feeding mechanism 10 is rotated to feed the film 11 in the direction of the arrow so that a new hole 9 comes into contact with the jet port 4. Accordingly, the clogging problem can be easily solved.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an original picture with fidelity by obtaining frequency of occurrence by density data, retrieving the density distribution of an original picture and applying weight mean to the data with multiplication of a large coefficient so as to obtain a density data of one minute picture element. CONSTITUTION:Several percentage of density data are sampled in an entire original picture 1 prior to picture reduction processing and the density distribution is checked, and 16 read original picture elements are subject to weight average processing based on the type of picture from the checked density such as 'white level on black background' or 'black level on white background'. Then plural lines 6 equivalent to several percentage of the entire original picture 1 are sampled by density distribution retrieval processing and the sampled picture elements 6 are counted by density data and the result is obtained as frequency of occurrence. Thus, the distribution of the frequency of occurrence of the density data is expressed in a form of the sum of number of picture elements and a different form of distribution from the type of the picture image 1 is obtained. Thus, the original picture 1 is reduced with fidelity.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the clogging of hole and the decrease of thermal conduction efficiency owing to drying of ink, by a method wherein the recessed part capable of keeping ink is formed on the opposed surface side of the endless belt having many holes to a thermal head and the front part of the thermal head is made to enter into this recessed part. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 3 is formed by etching on the opposed surface side of an endless belt 1 to a thermal head 4 and this recessed part 3 is made to be filled with ink 5 as well as a hole 2. The front part of thermal head 4 is settled to enter into the depressed part so as to be dipped into the ink 5 of the recessed part 3. When the belt 1 is rotated and the hole 2 filled with ink 5 reaches the position facing the thermal head 4, the ink 5 in the hole 2 is exhausted with the pressure of bubbles generated by quick heating of the thermal head 4 and is recorded on a recording paper 6. Thereafter, the belt 1 is filled up with ink 5 at an ink storage place and the recording is repeated. Because the recessed part 3, too, is filled with ink 5, the clogging of hole 2 is prevented.
