      SOLUTION: A water supply valve 4 is arranged at a place close to the water supply pipe 18, where a water supply hose 3, which is drawn outward from the case body 5 of the main body 1 of the dishwasher, is connected to the water supply pipe 18. The water supply valve 4 is closed in a period other than a period when water is being supplied to the main body 1 of the dishwasher and in a period when the dishwasher is not used, so that a water stream or water pressure is not generated in the water supply pipe on the downstream side of the water supply valve 4 and the water leak is suppressed to the minimum even in the case of the water leak at a certain place. When a water leak detecting means is arranged in the water supply valve 4 or a water stop valve 17, the water leak at the upstream side of the water supply valve 4 is detected.

The water hose such as the feed hose 3 and a component to which the water hose is connected are housed inside a feed water pipe body 24. Even if the leakage caused from the inadequate connection or damage of the hose, the leakage remains inside the pipe body 24. When the amount of water leaked exceeds a predetermined amount, the excess water flows in the box boy 5 to be sensed by a leakage sensing means.

At this time, the shaft 19 moves along the end faces of the oblong holes 17 and, therefore, the lid part 18 moves downward while moving backward and the lid part 18 closes an aperture 24 above the washing tank 14 via a gasket 23 simultaneously when the housing of the washing tank 14 is completed.
