It is possible to support the outside of the magnetic core, to curve a center part of the lower fitting, not to concentrate the stress locally, and to prevent a reduction in its characteristics.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a less expensive air filter of high performance which maintains the charge of an electrostatic filter during the manufacture and hardly changes its position during transportation or when dropped. CONSTITUTION:An outer frame 11 is formed of an under case 12 and a cover 14 of a plane plate having a vent hole 13; the under case 12 is equipped with projections 15 for welding. An electrostatic filter 17 having plate-shaped depressions 16 is set in the outer frame 11, and the projections 15 are inserted to the depressions 16 of the electrostatic filter 17 to contact the inner surface of the cover 14. The under case 12, the cover 14, and the electrostatic filter 17 are integrated by ultrasonic welding. Since the electrostatic filter 17 is not exposed to high temperatures during the manufacture after the electrostatic filter 17 being set in the outer frame 11, the charge of the electrostatic filter is not lowered, and the position hardly changes even during transportation or even when dropped. Moreover, the assembly process can be simplified.

After the wound body has been hardened, it is brought into a block state, and a magnetic core is formed. As a result, the wound body can be sufficiently formed into a block state, and the manhours for manufacture of the magnetic core can be cut down remarkably.
