Thus, influences caused by distortion that occurs based on the AM signals, are reduced and error correction for a digital signal can be effectively functioned.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical transmitter in which a transmission characteristic deterioration caused by a reflected light is sufficiently suppressed through a simple and inexpensive configuration in the case of transmission by the optical SCM system. SOLUTION: An oscillation section 102 provides an output of an additional signal with a frequency that is higher than a frequency in a frequency band width assigned to an electric signal to be transmitted and lower than a half of a minimum frequency in the frequency in the frequency band width assigned to the electric signal to be transmitted. Even should a secondary intermodulation distortion take place between the additional signal and the electric signal to be transmitted, the frequency of the distortion is at the outside of the frequency band assigned to the electric signal to be transmitted and then the produced secondary intermodulation distortion gives no effect on the electric signal to be transmitted. Furthermore, should a secondary harmonic distortion of the additional signal take place, the frequency of the distortion is at the outside of the frequency band assigned to the electric signal to be transmitted and no effect of the produced secondary harmonic distortion is given onto the electric signal to be transmitted.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a cross modulation distortion measurement system which can obtain the measurement result correlative with the result obtained by the visual evaluation when an optical transmision line including a multi-path is used as a transmission line of video signals. CONSTITUTION: A multi-carrier signal generator 100 generates the frequency division multiplex signals of plural disturbance and disturbed signals, and these generated multiplex signals are tranamitted via an optical transmision system 200. An observation system 300 observes the amplitude modulation component of a cycle T for the disturbed signal. Then at least one of amplitude modulation phases of those disturbance signals generated by the generator 100 is set asynchronous with others. Thus a section (T2 ) where the amplitudes of all disturbance signals are equal to 0 is shortened, and the periodical generation of sections T2 can be suppressed. As a result, the reduction of band is suppressed for the optical spectrum of the signal light, and the measurement result of the cross modulation distortion that is correlative with the result of the visual evaluation can be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:The optical signal transmitted to a receiver 200 is made incident on a photocoupler 3, and the optical signal of the semiconductor laser 2 for local oscillation is synthesized with the optical signal from the transmitter 100, and is inputted to a light reception circuit 20. At the circuit, the beat signal of the two optical signals is detected. The signal is inputted to a band-pass filter 21 which passes only a component with frequency f1, and is inputted to a demodulation circuit 22, then, is smoothed. The demodulation can be performed even when the optical frequency of the optical signal from the transmitter or that of the optical signal of the semiconductor laser for local oscillation is fluctuated to some extent, and also, the influence due to the dispersion of the optical fiber can be eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a part of data that is converted to a time series signal by sampling a luminance signal at a speed double that for other two color difference signals and replacing the part corresponding to the least-significant bit of at least either of said two color signals with a frame signal. CONSTITUTION:A component signal input (a luminance signal Y and two color signals R-Y, B-Y) of encoded high-definition TV signal is converted to parallel 8-bit digital signals by respective three A/D converters l, 2, 3. At this conversion, the sampling frequency of the luminance signal is so selected as double that of other two color signals. Thus digitized luminance signal is fetched by a first and a second ECL parallel-serial converters(P/S) 4, 5 alternately. And the digitized two color difference signals are converted to time series signals by a third and a fourth P/S 6, 7 of the same constitution as that of those 4, 5. And the part corresponding to the least significant bit of at least either of said two signals is replaced with a frame signal.
