      SOLUTION: The compensation device compensating vibration caused by inertia force, especially secondary inertia force is provided for a large two-cycle diesel engine operating as a marine engine. The compensation device has a rotor arrangement structure 4 capable of driving under the speed of rotation and phases depending on specific ratio between the speed of rotation and phases of the piston engine 1. The rotor arrangement structure 4 is driven by a characteristic drive motor 5, and a control unit 6 synchronizing the rotor arrangement structure 4 with the piston engine 1 at a designated ratio is arranged in the drive motor 5. Thus, the compensation device is structurally independent from the piston engine 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety coupling which has an easy and cost-effective means so that high standards of safety and reliability can be achieved. SOLUTION: The safety coupling is provided with two coupling halves (5, 6) which can be tightly connected to each other in the axis direction by a clamping device in the axis direction, which face each other in the axis direction and work synergistically by a friction-engagement system. The clamping device of the safety coupling can be destroyed when both coupling halves(5, 6) are mutually rotated. The clamping device has a shaft(15), provided with a screw, which is engaged with mutually-separated supporting surfaces(19, 21)in the axis direction of both of the coupling halves(5, 6), and a return head(16). The return head(16) attached to the shaft is provided with two engagement areas which work synergistically with the coupling halves(5, 6) allocated each by a rotation-engagement system. Then the torsion head(16) is mutually separated by a targeted destruction point(22) and connects both of the coupling halves(5, 6) together by the rotation-engagement system.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two stroke crosshead engine in which operation of a hydraulic pressure supply device is simple and reliable and does not consume ineffective high energy, and in which a pump drive body and a valve actuator are operated by system oil. SOLUTION: The two stroke crosshead engine is provided with multiple fuel pumps 13 and multiple exhaust valves 4. The fuel pumps are hydraulically driven piston pumps, and a pump drive body 14 thereof opens the exhaust valve by a hydraulic actuator 7 supplied with pressurized hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic device includes single high pressure supply channel 5. When engine load changes, the high-pressure supply channel supplies hydraulic fluid to the pump drive body 14 and the actuator 7 of the exhaust valve irrespective of substantial difference of required pressure of two types of hydraulic devices. System oil of the engine is used as hydraulic fluid, and hydraulic fluid discharged from the pump drive body 14 and the valve actuator 7 is returned to an oil reservoir of the engine.
