    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal heating from occurring, even when a short- circuiting is caused by first detecting the initial value of an electric current for fusion bonding when the electric current is applied to an electrofusion joint at a specified voltage. SOLUTION: When a fusion bonding process is initiated by pressing a start button, a switching means 1 is turned on by a control signal from CPU 6 and an electric current for fusion bonding at a constant voltage is applied to an electrofusion joint 2 from a constant voltage circuit. In turn, CPU 6 calculates a resistance based on an electric current value measured by an electric current measuring means 4 and stores a set time corresponding to the resistance in RAM 8 after obtaining the time from ROM 7. In addition, CPU 6, referring to a clock generator 9, stores an electric current value when a reference time reaches the level of time when the voltage is stable in RAM 8, if the reference time arrives at such a level. Thus CPU 6 controls an electric current adjusting means 3 so that the electric current value stored in RAM 8 is maintained as it is until an energization time set thereafter elapses. The termination of the energization is performed by the control signal from CPU 6 when the reference time reaches the set time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction caused by an analog signal from occurring by converting an analog detecting signal of a sensor into a digital signal by means of an A/D converter and outputting it to a controller. SOLUTION: A sensor 11 for detecting temp. or pressure of a molten resin in a joint is fitted on an electrofusion joint wherein an electric wire is embedded in a coil-like shape or spirally on a bonding face with a plastic pipe and a switch means for controlling to start and to end energization of electricity to the electrofusion joint is controlled by a controller 13. After electricity is energized, the switch means is made OFF based on the detected value of the sensor 11 by the controller 13 to end energization of electricity. In this case, an analog detecting signal of the temp. sensor 11 is converted to a digital signal by means of an A/D converter 12 and it is outputted to the controller 13. In addition, a signal wiring 14 and a power wiring 15 from the A/D converter 12 to the controller 13 are put in the same cable 16.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain firm tightening of a synthetic resin pipe by providing a tongue piece with a space apart in a peripheral direction in a side end face of a socket, and tightening the pipe with a band linked over each tongue piece, in a device heating a connection surface fused by heating with a current carried in an electric heating wire buried in the socket to fuse the synthetic resin pipe connected. SOLUTION: In right/left both side ends in a synthetic resin-made pipe joint 1 burying an electric heating wire in a socket, a small tongue piece 3 formed with a hole 2 for inserting a hose band in protrusively formed one by one, a hose band 4 is inserted to the hole 2 of each tongue piece 3 to be set. When the pipe joint 1 and a synthetic resin pipe 5 are fused, after the synthetic resin pipe 5 is inserted to both sides of the pipe joint 1, fastening by the hose band 4 is performed, so as to tighten the synthetic resin pipe 5. That is, by fastening the synthetic resin pipe 5 with the hose band 4, the synthetic resin pipe 5 is tightened by direct adhesion by the hose band 4 with the tongue piece 3, so as to realize stronger tightening.
