    • PURPOSE:To raise durability of a ship buffering work by avoiding the exposure of constituents to sea water for the ship buffering work to prevent damage to the main tower base by collision of ships by providing it for the surrounding of the main tower base to support the main tower of suspension bridge and skew bridge. CONSTITUTION:In a buffering work 10 to be attached to surroundings of a main tower base, steel tubes are arranged vertically and horizontally by biasing the heightwise and widthwise directions of the tubes into a well-cribbed form to form a framework. The periphery of the framework is covered with a concrete wall 19. The framework is attached to the surrounding of the main tower base 2 through fitting parts 16 to prevent the intrusion of sea water into the buffering work, and the corrosion of the constituents by sea water can also be prevented. The impact energy-absorbing function of the buffering work can thus be stably kept for long periods.

    • PURPOSE:To adjust the buoyancy of a buoyancy structure easily and particularly while lightening the load received from waves of the buoyancy structure regarding the buoyancy structure used for a floating breakwater, a floating pier, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a pontoon type buoyancy structure 1, a water passage structure section 4 for adjusting buoyancy extended so as to penetrate or notch at least the water-surface lower section of the structure 1 is installed. In the water passage structure section 4, not only the buoyancy of the buoyancy structure 1 is adjusted by setting the area of the water passage of the structure section 4 but also the free movement of external water is allowed in the water passage in the required direction such as the horizontal direction including the lower section of a water surface or the vertical direction or the like. The water passage structure section 4 in the horizontal direction reduces a wall area under the water surface of the buoyancy structure 1, and the water passage structure section in the vertical direction diminishes oscillation (pitching moment) in the longitudinal direction of the buoyancy structure and lightens wave pressure and water pressure applied to the buoyancy structure 1.
