摘要： PURPOSE: To determine the root-mean-square of a signal that is accurate and has a large wave-height rate by adding the output signal of the filter of an all-wave rectification circuit for giving a rectified input signal to the input of a primary resistance filter to the input of a peak detector and enabling the output voltage to express the square average of an input signal. CONSTITUTION: A RC filter 12 consists of a resistor R2 between first input and first output and a capacitor C1 for connecting the first and second outputs, and the second input and the second output are connected directly. Then, a filtered signal is equal to the peak value of an input signal that is a pure sinusoidal wave of 50Hz, and the peak value of the signal becomes equal to the square average of the input signal after being filtered by the filter 12. It is detected by a detector 14, and the output signal expresses the root-mean- square of the input signal, thus determining the root-mean-square of a signal that is accurate and has a small wave-height rate.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide an electronic trip unit comprising a correction means for securing trip function depending on the value of a primary current flowing through the main pole of a circuit breaker and utilizing the r.m.s. value. CONSTITUTION: The trip unit comprises an electronic processor 7 delivering a trip command in relation to the r.m.s. value of a current Im measured through a current transformer, a threshold value S setting point and a time lag T setting point. Nonlinearity in the response of the current transformer is corrected by a unit 9 for correcting the current value threshold value or time lag value. With these corrected values Ic, Tc and Sc, tripping can be performed accurately depending on the value of current flowing through the circuit breaker. The type of correction can be adapted to the rating of circuit breaker by a parameter 11 obtained through a test and a parameter 11 prestored in a memory 10.

摘要： PURPOSE: To grasp the cause of a trouble accurately by making a decision that an abnormality has occurred when at least a predetermined number of first signals are lower than a first threshold level and at least a predetermined number of second signals exceed a second threshold level higher than the first threshold level. CONSTITUTION: Currents of a three-phase wiring are inputted to terminals I1-I3 and a zero-phase current is inputted to a terminal IN. These signals are compared with a first threshold level S1 through a first set of amplifiers 22-28 and a logical level 1 is outputted when the signal exceeds the first threshold level. Similarly, a logical level 1 is outputted from a set of amplifiers 30-36 when the signal thereof exceeds a second threshold level S2 higher than the first threshold level S1. Output from the amplifier 38 has level 1 when the number of amplifiers 22-28 having output of 0 is higher than a prescribed number S3 and the output from the amplifier 40 has level 1 when the number of amplifiers 30-36 having output of 1 is higher than a prescribed number S4. Output A has level 1 when these outputs are ANDed and triggers a circuit breaker.
