    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust magnetic bearing device which generates magnetic attraction force in both directions (one direction and the other direction of thrust direction) by an integral electromagnet. SOLUTION: A magnetic path is switched depending on whether a magnetic path change pipe 26 is provided between a shaft end part 21a and an iron core 24 of the electromagnet to generate magnetic attraction force in two directions for a thrust disc 22. Furthermore, the magnetic path change pipe is moved by an actuator. Or, when the thrust disc leans to one side or the other side, the direction of generation of magnetic attraction force for the thrust disc is switched by change of positional relation of the shaft end part and a magnetic path change part provided in the iron core of the electromagnet (whether both of them are overlapped or not). Or, when tip faces of two thrust discs oppose to both end faces of the iron core of the electromagnet and the thrust disc is displaced in the direction of thrust, restoration force for making a gap between the thrust disc and the iron core of the electromagnet minimum acts.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust magnetic bearing device capable of easily restore a thrust disc into a contactless state even if the thrust disc is attracted to any one of electromagnets. SOLUTION: This thrust magnetic bearing device is so constituted that when a thrust disc 23 is attracted to either one of electromagnets, a gap space between this electromagnet and the thrust disc 23 is maintained to a specified space by attractive force reducing spacers 27a, 28a, 27b, 28b fitted to the electromagnet 24a, 24b sides. The attractive force reducing spacers may be fitted to the thrust disc 23 side. It may also be constituted to maintain the space to a specified space by a rotor receiver. Or it may be constituted to cut off this electromagnet and a current driver by a switch when attracting, or it may be constituted to periodically reverse the direction of a current fed to the electromagnet by a current reversing device to periodically switch the polarity of the electromagnet.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily judge a chaos property. SOLUTION: Time series data inputted to a data input part 1 for inputting time series data are stored in a data storing part 2. The data stored in the storing part 2 are supplied to a correlation function integrating calculation part 3 and a parameter determination part 4 and the calculation part 3 finds out the integration C(r) of a correlation function based upon a parameter determined by the determination part 4. A fractal dimension calculation part 5 finds out an inclination to be obtained at the time of plotting both logarithms by the use of the integration C(r) found out by the calculation part 3 and the value of a variable (r) and stores the inclination in a calculation result storing part 6. A fractal dimension evaluation part 7 compares the newest calculation result calculated by the calculation part 5 with the past calculation result stored in the storing part 6 and judges whether the fractal dimension is converged or diverged. When the fractal dimension is converged or diverged, the judged result is outputted to an output part 8.
