    • PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an apparatus and improve operational efficiency, by providing a device for joining together one sheet of plywood at each side of a center plate and a device for attaching an adhesive tape to the joint portions of the two sheets of plywood while moving thereon. CONSTITUTION:Upon the insertion of a first sheet of plywood P into a conveyor 51 through a supporting stand 50, a hold-down roll 53 is moved downwards and conveyors 51 and 55 start to move in the unloading direction and, upon passing of the rear end of the plywood P through a photosensor PH2, a hold- down plate 54 is moved downwards, the hold-down roll 53 is moved upwards and the conveyors 51 and 55 reverse movement to carry the plywood P in the reverse direction. Upon the insertion of the subsequent second sheet of plywood P on the conveyor, a friction roll device 36 is moved upwards and a roll 38 and a block 39 are moved downwards and, with the plywood held therebetween, a head part 4 starts to move. As the head part moves, a center plate 49 is moved downwards sequentially and the edge of one sheet of plywood P at each side of the head part 4 are abutted together by the joining action of rolls 38 and 41 and an adhesive tape T is attached to the joint edges thereof by a hold-down roll 15.

    • PURPOSE: To efficiently dry a material to be dried by providing far infrared radiating plates above and below the material to be dried and exposed with hot air from a hot air injection duct while conveying by a conveying mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The drying apparatus arranges vertically three-stage conveying passages for transferring a material to be dried, supports a conveyor 14N by a conveying roller 14 for constituting a conveying mechanism, places the material and transfers it. Hot air heated by a heater and urged by a fan 13 is lowered in a ventilation passage in a direction O, press injected to a hot air injection nozzle case 16 disposed at the three-stages at a center, injected at a fast speed from a slit 6S opened at a far infrared radiating plate 6 arranged at upper and lower surfaces of the case 16 to heat the material and to simultaneously heat the plate 6. Accordingly, the radiating plate is heated to effectively radiate far infrared ray. Thus, the material is efficiently bathed with many far infrared rays from front and rear to self-heat, thereby extremely efficiently heating to execute an efficient drying work.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the detection and removal of an extraneous substance existing in long log, before log-bucking, by inspecting the outer peripheral part and the inside of the long log by X-rays and by conducting marking in the defective part thereof or in the vicinity of the defective part. CONSTITUTION:Long log L0 is brought in a first conveyer apparatus 10, and the apparatus 10 and a second conveyor apparatus 20 are operated under the control of CPU 46. When the conveyance proceeds and the log L0 reaches an X-ray emitting apparatus 42, and an X-ray pulse is projected in a sectorial shape in synchronization with the speed of conveyance of the log L0 by the apparatus 42. The intensity of the transmitted X-ray is measured by an image data collecting device 43, and an image of the log is re-formed and displayed in a display 47 through an image processor 45 and CPU 46. The CPU 46 compares the re-formed image with an image of a registered defect pattern, discriminates the quality of the woody parts, sends signals to a marking device 50, and makes the device execute marking on an outer peripheral part in the case when the position of a defect is in the outer peripheral part. When the position of the defect is located inside, marking is made on the nearest outer periphery in the direction of the diameter of the log.

    • PURPOSE: To expedite an efficient drying by circulating a relatively low temperature hot air by providing a conveying roller for transferring a material to be dried, a fan for circulating the air in a dryer, and a heat exchanger for heating the air circulating in the dryer, and drying the material while feeding the material, thereby simplifying an overall dryer. CONSTITUTION: Three stages of upper and lower sets of rollers 14 for constituting a conveying mechanism are arranged. Heater coils 11S are arranged above and below the rollers 14, and a heat source such as steam or the like is introduced. The air in the dryer urged by a fan 13 is heated by passing a heat exchanger 17 and the coils 11S while repeatedly circulating in a direction of arrows O, P, Q, R, S and T, while a material to be dried is bathed with the hot air to be sequentially dried while being sequentially conveyed. A far infrared ray having a wavelength of 2.5 micron or more is radiated from a heater coil arranged separately to a unit drying section 11. And the material is emitted with the ray from front and rear surfaces to bring about an electromagnetic resonance, thereby further expediting the drying by self-heating.

    • PURPOSE:To make a loading level of veneer higher, by installing both the upper and lower conveyors, having a feed passage surface each, in an upper part of the stacker provided with a lifter, while making the stacker pinch and lift the veneer with a signal out of a detector, mounting it at an optional spot, and making the loaded surface into flatness. CONSTITUTION:A series of sized veneers are taken in an A direction by a feed conveyor 3, and when the front end comes nearer to a loading tip part, the lifting bar 13 set up in both directions, and the veneer reached to a loading lower spot is pinched and floated up between the lifting bar and a fixed bar 14, stopping movement of the veneer. Afterward, the feed conveyor 3 and a tension conveyor 4 both are stopped. When conveyance is suspended, the lifting bar 13 goes down and releases the veneer so that the veneer is mounted on the conveyor 3 temporarily. In succession, the two-strip conveyors 3 are separated in both directions so that they are dropped together other veneers and mounted on the lower loading spot, making the loading surface into flatness whereby a loading level can be made higher.
