    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement vane pump in which responsiveness that a discharge capacity is increased is secured.SOLUTION: A variable displacement vane pump 100 includes: a first fluid pressure chamber 31 and a second fluid pressure chamber 32 with a rocking fulcrum C of a cam ring 4 defined as a boundary therebetween; and a control valve 21 that controls the driving pressure of a working fluid guided from a pump chamber 7 to the second fluid pressure chamber 32. The suction pressure of the working fluid sucked into the pump chamber 7 is always guided to the first fluid pressure chamber 31. The cam ring 4 is rocked in a direction that the discharge capacity is reduced by pressure in the pump chamber 7 acting on an inner peripheral cam surface 4a during the operation in which the driving pressure is reduced while the cam ring 4 is rocked in a direction that the discharge capacity is increased during the operation in which the driving pressure is increased.
