摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure a movable amount of an appropriate worm shaft (or a worm) in a structure for supporting the worm shaft through a resilient member. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for adjusting a movable amount so as to adjust a movable amount of a worm shaft 52 in a gear reducer 40 for an electric power steering device where the worm shaft 52 is movably supported through a resilient member 82 in a direction directed toward a rotating shaft. This method comprises a first step in which the worm shaft 52 is moved to each of both sides in a direction X directed toward the rotating shaft to its maximum limit before assembling the worm shaft 52 having a worm 44 formed to be engaged with a worm wheel 42 to the output shaft 52 of a motor 50; a second step for measuring a displacement of the worm shaft 52 during the first step; a third step for calculating the movable amount of the worm shaft 52 in response to the result of measurement of the second step; and a fourth step for adjusting the movable amount of the worm shaft 52 in response to the result of calculation of the third step. 摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the stable sliding contact of a brake shoe with a brake drum during vibrating. CONSTITUTION:Brake shoes 18, 20 are fitted between a wheel cylinder and an anchor block 16 respectively fitted to the upper part and lower part of a backing plate. In the anchor block 16, the inclined angle alpha1 to the vertical face, orthogonal to the backing plate, of a first inclined supporting face 74 for supporting the end part of the brake shoe 20 is made larger than the inclined angle alpha2 of a second inclined supporting face 76 for supporting the end part of the brake shoe 18. The brake shoe 18 large in weight by the presence of a parking brake lever and large in downward acting force is thereby large in upward force by the slant face effect of the second inclined supporting face 76 so as to be prevented from moving excessively downward at the vibrating time to come in sliding contact with a brake drum 10 and as a result generate partial wear and drag.
