      SOLUTION: This method for producing the fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester-based polymer comprises a process for reacting a (meth)acrylic ester-based polymer with a fluorine atom-containing alcohol in the presence of an ester interchange catalyst, so as to form the fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester-based polymer, and a process for removing an ester interchange catalyst residue. The process for removing the ester interchange catalyst residue is preferably conducted by filtration. Further, at least one kind of a filter aid selected from diatomaceous earth, pearlite, and a cellulose fiber is preferably used in the filtration, so that the ester interchange catalyst residue is efficiently removed.
