摘要： PURPOSE:To readily and efficiently carry out enzymic reaction, by immobilizing an enzyme in a water-insoluble viscoelastic substance, adding and kneading a substrate while keeping the substance in a state exhibiting spinnability under a high shearing force and carrying out the enzymic reaction. CONSTITUTION:A water-insoluble viscoelastic substance, e.g. polyisobutylene (derivative), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyacrylic acid derivative, asphalt, etc., is kneaded with a water-soluble enzyme to occlude and immobilize the enzyme in the viscoelastic substance. The resultant water-insoluble viscoelastic substance immobilizing the enzyme is then put in a kneading machine, e.g. kneader, etc., and kneaded and an aqueous solution of a substrate is added thereto while keeping a state exhibiting spinnability by applying high shearing force to continue kneading. Thereby, since the viscoelastic substance provides a new contact surface having the enzyme at all times to the aqueous solution of the substrate while keeping the enzyme in a stable state, the enzymic reaction can be efficiently carried out.

As a result, stability of earth and sand of the cutting face 15 can be maintained, so that the earth and sand can smoothly be discharged by means of a screw conveyor 13 and surplus soil can be handled easily.
