    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor which shows small variations in the intensity distribution of the magnetic field of each biasing magnet and saves time and effort in the adjustment of an output waveform.
      SOLUTION: The magnetic sensor comprises one or more magnetoresistive elements MR1, MR2 and a biasing magnet M which forms a magnetic field around the magnetoresistive elements MR1, MR2 to increase the magnetic field sensitivity of the magnetoresistive elements MR1, MR2. On the basis of the resistance value of the magnetoresistive elements MR1, MR2, magnetic flux density passing through the magnetoresistive elements MR1, MR2 is detected. The biasing magnet M has a structure formed by stacking a plurality of magnets in the magnetic field direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detecting device capable of carrying out the correction between channels of a detector and suppressing the difference in the torque when the channel of the detector is changed. SOLUTION: The torque detecting device is provided with two sets which are arranged apart along length of a rotating shaft and are composed of a plurality of targets being disposed on a rotating body so that the portion to be detected varies periodically and continuously according to the rotation, and a plurality of detecting means detecting the portion close to them, and detects a rotating torque applied to the rotating shaft on the basis of the portion detected respectively by the detecting means selected from both the sets. The torque detecting device includes a correction means which calculates the average of the portions detected respectively by the two sets of detecting means and corrects the detected result so that the portions detected respectively by both sets of detecting means correspond to the average, a calculating means (S17) which calculates the difference between the rotating torques before and after the time when the selected detecting means is changed (S15), and a means which further corrects the result corrected by the correction means on the basis of the difference calculated by the calculating means (S18).
