摘要： PURPOSE:To stabilize construction of regenerator by eliminating use of small- sized brick, by constituting circumferential part of wall face for laying checker brick by a brick having unequal side hexagonal section, which lengths of faced two sides are longer than lengths of the other four sides. CONSTITUTION:In the brick laying constructing a regenerator of a hot blast stove, the main part of the checker bricks lays up silicons refractories 1 having equal side hexagonal section. The outer circumferential part of the brick laying uses the bricks 3 having unequal size hexagonal section, which lengths of faced two sides are longer than lengths of the other four sides and cuts the unnecessary part and the brick laying is executed to there. By this method, as laying up of the small-sized bricks conventionally used is eliminated, drop-out of the brick caused by expansion, shrinkage or vibration by changing of temp. distribution is not occurred at the time of operating the hot blast stove. Further, efficiency of the work is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the casting surface of a casting by compounding a suitable amt. of phosphoric acid binder with refractory raw material powder to form a durable casting mold and drying the mold thereby permitting the repeated use of the durable casting mold with high strength and decreasing the gas to be generated in the stage of casting a molten metal. CONSTITUTION:About 20-90wt% phosphoric acid binder such as aluminum phosphate and magnesium phosphate is compounded and kneaded with the ordinary refractory raw material powder such as alumina or zircon and the mixture is molded by ordinary rammer molding, casting, etc. and is dried. The resulted durable casting molds 5, 7 have the high strength and can be repeatedly used. The gas to be generated from the casting mold during casting of the molten metal is decreased and the casting surface of the casting is good.

摘要： PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the sticking of splashes to the inside wall surface of a vessel for a molten metal by providing through-holes to the ceiling part of the inside wall surface of the vessel and ejecting gas therethrough. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole unit 150 is formed on the outside wall layer 12 in the ceiling part of a torpedo ladle car, etc., by arraying plural rows of the through-holes to the bottom surface of refractory bricks 15 forming the inside wall surface. The gas such as N2 is supplied from a supply pipe 158 into the unit 150 in the stage of blowing a treating material by a carrier gas through the pipe into the molten iron in the torpedo ladle car. The gas is ejected from the holes 15 toward the surface of the molten iron to prevent the sticking of the various splashes from the molten iron surface onto the ceiling part. The time and labor required heretofore for removing the splashes and further the heat loss are decreased by the above-mentioned method.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a hot blast stove while maintain a thermal efficiency of the hot blast stove and strength of a brick at high levels by contriving an arrangement of dowels and dowel holes on gitter bricks, which are stacked in an interior of a regenerator in the hot blast stove to serve as a medium of heat exchange between a high temperature gas and a cold air flow. SOLUTION: A brick body 7 is in the form of hexagonal column to be provided with six through holes 5 of circular cross section which extend between an upper surface 15 and a lower surface 16 and surround a central through hole 13. Vertical grooves 6 are provided on respective tops 18 of the brick body 7 and on side surfaces 14 intermediate between the respective pieces, and dowels 11 and dowel holes 12 for engagement of upper and lower bricks are provided on either ends of the through holes 5 on the upper surface 15 and the lower surface 16 with a spacing of 120 degrees. In order to provide communication between ends of those of the six through holes 5 which are not provided with the dowels 11 or the dowel holes 12, and ends of the three vertical grooves 6 adjacent to the ends of those through holes, common grooves 17 having a large width are cut as bypass passages and are set to have a depth in the range of 3 to 14% of the brick height.

Further, adding quantity of the ceramic particle 9 is to be 30-80% vol ratio to the whole volume of the block 11. The above block 11 scarcely develops the crack caused by the heat shocking and mechanical shocking and as the wear resistance is large, the service life of the stave can be sharply extended. In this result, the durability of the furnace wall in the blast furnace is sharply improved and the service life of the furnace body can be extended.

摘要： PURPOSE:To suppress the reaction of a molten metal and slag and casting mold and to permit the easy rapping of a casting by compounding a suitable amt. of binder and water with refractory raw material powder, coating the mixture of the durable casting mold, heating the mold at an adequate temp. to dry and applying a coating material on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The mold parting material is prepd. by compounding 0.5-25wt% clay mineral such as 'KIBUSHI' clay, org. binder such as molasses or inorg. binder such as sodium silicate with the refractory raw material powder of alumina, magnesia, etc., compounding, if necessary, water therewith and kneading the mixture. Such mold parting material is coated on the durable casting molds 1-3 and is dried at an adequate temp. of 50-300 deg.C. The conventional surface coating material is applied on the surface after drying. The mold parting material has adequate strength and is easily strippable and therefore the material permits the easy rapping and suppresses the penetration of the molten metal 4, slag or flux into the durable casting mold and the reaction thereof with the durable casting mold.
