    • PURPOSE:To enable a material to increase the fitting degree of an inner pipe to an outer pipe, by heating and cooling the outer pipe while it is relatively moved in the axial direction so that a diameter of the outer pipe, after it is cooled, decreases smaller than the initial diameter over the total length of a heated part. CONSTITUTION:If a double construction material pipe 3 is moved in a predetermined speed, a heater 4 provides diametric swelling action by heat with respect to cooling an outer pipe 1 by coolers 5 before and after said heater 4. Then a heated part, generating setting bending moment to act in the diametric direction toward the center direction with respect to the lengthwise direction, forms a ring-shaped curved part of plastic deformation. And the plastically deformed part, heated by the heater 4, passes through a heating part by relatively moving the double construction material pipe 3 in the direction of an arrow head in the drawing, thereafter the plastically deformed part, if it is cooled by a cooling means, reversely generates large diametric contraction, here the pipe 3, obtaining a large fitting margin, tightens the outer pipe 1 to be connected with an inner pipe 2.

    • PURPOSE:To form a double pipe easily and at a low cost without generation of cracks by superposing and fastenning a inner pipe having excellent hardenability and an outer pipe having no hardenability, heating the inner pipe and then quenching it to transform into martensite and to expand. CONSTITUTION:The steel inner pipe 2 excellent in hardenability such as high- carbon steel, etc. in the condition of annealing or normalizing is inserted into the outer pipe 1 made of material having no hardenability including a material of low hardenability such as low-carbon steel, etc. Then the inner pipe 2 is expanded to increase its diameter by hydraulic expanding, etc. and both pipes are fastened to form a blank double pipe 3. After that, the blank double pipe 3 is heated in a prescribed heating furnace to about 850 deg.C of the temp. of austenitizing zone and then oil-cooled. In this way, the inner pipe 2 is quenched to harden and a compressive residual stress is added to the inner pipe 2 by the expansion attended on the transformation of martensite to fasten both pipes, then the double pipe 3' free from crack, etc. is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To perform partial penetration welding such as crater treatment without generating welding defects by performing welding while oscillating an electron beam at different frequencies in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the advancing direction for welding and in the direction parallel therewith. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam welding performs welding by irradiating an electron beam 4 to materials 1 to be welded placed on a conveying table 3 in a vacuum chamber 2 and focusing the beam with a focusing coil 5. The oscillation having the directional component perpendicular to the advancing direction X of a circular shape or the like is applied to the beam 4 by the 1st deflecting coil 6 with such electron beam welding device and the oscillation having the frequency different from the frequency of said oscillation and having the directional component in parallel with the direction X is applied superposedly to said beam by the 2nd deflecting coil 7. Then the inside of the molten pool is vertically and horizontally stirred without confinement of the generated gas therein in the stage of partial penetration welding such as a crater treatment; moreover, the welding phenomenon itself is stabilized and weld defects such as porosity, etc. are effectively prevented. The welding with excellent internal quality is thus accomplished.

    • PURPOSE:To join securely different metals which are impossible to be joined directly to each other in the stage of joining the different metals with which direct joining by welding is impossible by interposing a specifically composed insert piece for joining between both metals and welding said metals. CONSTITUTION:Direct melt-joining of different metallic plates such as a lightweight Al plate and a highly corrosion resistant Ti plate to each other is impossible because an intermetallic compd. by both metals is formed to deteriorate the strength and corrosion resistance in the joint part. A circular cylindrical Al material 1 finished to have a smooth surface and a Ti material 2 are brought into press contact with each other at joint surfaces 3 in such a case. The one material 1 is fixed and the material 2 is rotated under pressure to weld both metals by solid-phase joining. The solid-phase joining may be diffusion joining or explosive joining in addition thereto. The base metal welded by such solid-phase joining is cut 4 to a suitable size and is used as an insert piece 8. The Al part of such piece is adhered to the Al material 10 side to be joined and the Ti part to the Ti material 11 part by frictional press welding, resistance welding or fillet welding, etc., by which the Al material 10 and the Ti material 11 are securely joined.

    • PURPOSE:To perform fastening and welding easily and exactly even if the welding of both materials to be welded is infeasible by fastening one material to be welded and the other material to be welded by using fastening materials such as screws then applying tuck welding. CONSTITUTION:The other material 2 to be welded is superposed on one material 1 to be welded, and respective fastening hole 3 is communicated respectively concentrically with through-hole 4. Fastening member 5 such as screw is screwed through the hole 4 into the hole 3 to bind both materials 1, 2. In succession, the tuck welding 6 penetrating from the material 2 to the material 1 is applied along a welding line 2b from the direction of the material 2 by, for example, electron beam welding, plasma arc welding or the like. The material 1 and the material 2 are bound to one body by means of the members 5 and both materials are welded in the above-mentioned way; therefore, even if both materials 1, 2 are formed of curved surfaces as shown in the figure, the materials are welded adequately without distortion of the material 2 during welding.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to connect accurately an external pipe and an internal pipe in a body by proliferatively junctioning both pipes after tightly junctioning them by way of relative layering cutting at least one of the inner surface of the external pipe and the outer surface of the internal pipe. CONSTITUTION:In order to form the junction faces of an external pipe 1 and an internal pipe 2, a cutter 4' with a cutting blade 3' formed into ring shape facing forward is drawn forward with a rod being faced to the rear end of the external pipe 1 concentrically. Then, a cutter blade 3 of which the inside is formed into ring shape and projected facing behind is firmly connected to the rear end of the external pipe 1 in a body and the internal pipe 2 is pushed concentrically into the pipe 1. And, drawn further forward through the rod, the cutter 4' at the end of the internal pipe 2 cuts concentrically the inner surface of the external pipe 1, and the cutter 4 connected to the rear end of the external pipe 1 also cuts the outer surface of the internal pipe 2 making both pipes perform relative movement in axial direction. The metallic newborn surface of the inner peripheral surface of the external pipe 1 by the cutter 4' and that of the outer peripheral surface of the internal pipe 2 are, therefore, proliferatively junctioned.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a pipe diameter and to form a self-tightening double-walled pipe at a low cost by simultaneously and parallellty subjecting the pipe to annular heating from the peripheral direction and cooling around the same to suppress the diameter expansion of the heated part then cooling the pipe to shrink. CONSTITUTION:The high-toughness outside pipe 1 consisting of a low-carbon steel, etc. and the high-wear-resistant inside pipe 2 consisting of a high-carbon steel, etc. are freely inserted to form a double-walled pipe stock 3. An annular high-frequency induction heater 4 is set onto the outside pipe 1 and coolers 5 for annular shower of cooling water are set before and behind the heater in the axial direction in proximity thereto. While the pipe stock 3 is moved in an arrow direction, the pipe stock is continuously subjected to the simultaneous and parallel heating and cooling with the heating and cooling devices 4, 5. The thermal expansion of the heated part is thereby restrained by the low- temp. parts from both sides to suppress the diametral expansion thereof. The heated part is thereafter shrunk by cooling to decrease the diameter of the outside pipe 1 from the initial diameter, by which both pipes are self-tightened and the double-walled pipe is obtd.
