SOLUTION: This battery terminal 1 is provided with a pair of stem members 11 for both positive and negative electrodes and branch members 12 which are connected with it through current foil EL1a expanded from each plate EL1. It has a hinge structure 13 where a shaft 11a on the stem member 11 side is inserted into a round hole 12a in each branch member 12 for connection. Each branch member 12 can independently pivot in the laminating direction of an electrode-layered product EL about the shaft 11a. When the electrode-layered product EL expands in the laminating direction following the expansion or contraction of positive electrode active material during charge or discharge, each branch member 12 pivots depending on movements of the plates EL1. Therefore, the current collecting foil EL1a for connecting each branch member 12 with each plate EL1 prevents stress concentration from causing breakage, and a life of a battery is improved.

SOLUTION: Recovered ash containing >=50 wt.% carbon is used. The average particle size of the recovered ash is usually 0.1-200 μm in the state as it is or after classification. The particle shape of the recovered ash is not especially limited, but preferable to be globular, and regular recovered ash of porous globular particles having a specific surface area (BET method) of 1m /g or more can be used. As the purification treatment for enriching the carbon content, simple, inexpensive washing is utilized and compulsive drying is also used.

Even if the battery temperature is raised by any short circuit, the polymer is reacted with the organic solvent or lithium salt in the electrolyte to block the holes of the polymer film, and then solidified between the positive and negative electrodes. Since the polymer electrode acts as an adhesive layer to adhere the positive electrode to the negative electrode, thus, the battery is never led to burning or firing, and it can be said that this battery is safe.

The thickness of the support board 7 is set to approximately 3 mm-7 mm. A hard metal plate such as titanium, stainless steel, etc., or a plate formed by coating fluororesin thereon may be used for the thin leaf spring 8. The thickness of the thin leaf spring 8 is preferably approximately 1 mm-5 mm.
